No, it does not make you those things. It is an assertion that your party has been infected by factions of people who ARE one or more of those things. It’s close to an assertion that those factions have taken over your party.
Do you wish to argue that such factions have not taken over your party? Feel free to do so; we’d all be happy to engage you on those terms.
Do you wish to argue that such factions do not exist? Feel free to do so. We’d all be DELIGHTED to engage you on those terms.
Do you wish to argue that such people do not exist within your party in significant numbers? Once again, feel free to do so; we’d all be – what’s happier than “delighted?” well, that.
However, it appears that you prefer to argue that because those traits have been called out in some of your fellow party members, you, personally, are being accused of sharing those traits. This is patently a losing argument, and it gets tiresome having to demolish it multiple times.
You think you’re being unfairly tarred by a broad brush due to your associations? There’s a very simple solution. Stop associating with the people who demonstrate those traits. Either throw them out of your party, or admit that they have taken it over, and get out yourself.
THAT is the message Hillary would do well to convey, and truth to tell, she probably could have done a better job of conveying it. Maybe she needed to get the phraseology out there so she can build on it to convey that message to people who are feeling inclined to support Trump but don’t want to be deplorable.

Also, the NCAA has allowed transgender athletes to play on the team corresponding to their gender identity for years now and it hasn’t lead to some sort of pantsless free-for-all of moral deviancy, which makes this breathless fear-mongering even more absurd.

This is really important shit. Sitting around all day, finding things to be faux outraged and indignant about, claiming “morality”. Meanwhile, defending morally reprehensible men. I hear the pay is pretty good if you can get it.
All the above stuff was just from today. Yesterday was PJ media day on the yahoo home page, so it was even worse. What really bugs me is they hide the source under a title like “lifestyle”, instead of being consistent and labeling things with “fox news” or “business insider” or “forbes”.
Yahoo: now fully *half *of it is composed of right-wing drivel, written especially for those easily distracted by the shiny red herrings and think being bigoted is the morally correct position.
