If the video was what you wanted to link, why not link the video? YouTube makes that incredibly easy:
PCP is so stupid that mentioning him here is an insult to stupid Republicans! But I needed somewhere to mention just how stupid that the ravings of that vermin have become:
I guess Warren Buffet is the new George Soros for the tards in tardville.
It’s a shame that such an amusing username is being wasted by that dimbulb.
If literacy is a right…does that mean hat anyone who is handed the diploma while remaing functionally illiterate has standing to sue…someone?
The God-Emperor has decreed burning of the American flag should be cause for prison or loss of citizenship. Burning a cross gets someone into his administration.
A “watch list” of “radical left wing professors” has been published by a right wing organization.
Some of those named are embracing the label.
‘I Will Not Shut Up. America Is Still Worth Fighting For.’
A professor included on the recently published “watchlist” that calls out 200 American educators for being leftist radicals reflects on her “dubious honor.”
Of course not all (or even a majority) of Republicans are White Nationalists, but most, if not all White Nationalists are Republicans.
fuck it, nm
Actually, since writing that piece, Heather Cox Richardson appears to have been removed from the list.
I like how the list is in alphabetical order by first name.
It’s pretty hilarious.
As an academic, i find it all pretty ridiculous: both the list, and the rather outsized reaction to it.
I understand why the creation of a list like this raises concerns, and i certainly think that such a list is largely fueled by ideas of intimidation. At the same time, though, i tend to think that it’s something of an over-reaction to write long op-ed pieces marking it as the decline of civilization, and as another goose-step on the road back to McCarthy or Hitler.
It’s some fucking idiot on the internet. whoever put this site together apparently can’t work out how to alphabetize by last name, and also can’t insert a paragraph of text without splitting words in the middle.
And while some of the actions that landed professors on the list are pretty stupid, and worthy of ridicule (the UC Santa Barbara professor who assaulted a 16-year-old anti-abortion activist and stole her protest sign), plenty of others aren’t even connected to the professors’ actual duties as an academic. Some profs land on the list because of something they wrote on their Twitter feed, or an article they wrote for a newspaper or magazine. The fact that professors make political points in their private life does not mean that they are propagandists in the classroom.
Anyone with half a brain who spends any time looking at this list will quickly realize that it was put together by idiots.
Sure. But then, looks like idiots is what the looming administration is going to be made of, too. Never underestimate the dramatic impact of idiocy and power combined.
So I suppose it’s a sure thing that Trump will quickly realize that this list is very, very important, and link to it via tweets at 3:00 am.
Seriously. This is what Trump does. Latches onto some half-baked nasty thing put out by an idiot, and gives it publicity and legitimacy.
Scottie Nell Hughes: “There’s no such thing as facts.”
Umm … did she study speakage under W?
Starting to miss Ron Ziegler. Nurse? Nurse?
When I saw Cast Away starring Tom Hanks, I thought it would terrible to be stranded on that little island like that. Now it seems so very, very appealing. But I will try to go along to get along here in Trumpland. Next April, I’m going to inform the IRS that there is no such thing as taxes.
Does “repeal and delay” sound like a stupid Republican idea for the health care law? I think it is. Five Republican alternative plans and they can’t coalesce around any of them? What makes them think they’ll agree on a fix two years from now?
Whatever policy/fix boils down to “how much money will my supporters and I make off of this?”
Really, that’s what it’s about. Healthcare is a multi-billion dollar industry, and the Republicans and their billionaire supporters want a bigger slice of the pie. Actually, ALL of the pie. And they don’t give a shit how many people die. As long as they can buy a second mega-yacht.
In what year did it finally dawn on you? :dubious:
