Stupid Republican idea of the day

The thing is, it is one of the most compassionate things they can do. Normal people could do much more compassionate things, but this is the best you can expect from Republicans.

“Mulvaney specifically cited Head Start, which runs early-childhood programs including free breakfasts for children from low-income families, as an example of an unjustified expenditure, arguing that there was no proof that children performed better in school when they weren’t hungry.”

Priceless.

There are times that even an atheist (such as myself) longs for the myth of “hell” to be actual, literal fact.

Picturing Mick Mulvaney’s eternity there, being attended by his own special demons, provides a certain type of satisfaction.

Two South Carolina hay seeds are prepping survivalist communities to ‘restore the fabric of America’.

Just curious, here. The bit about Kellyann Conway and spy microwaves has been out for the better part of a week, yet I have yet to read of it in the SRIOTD thread.

Is it being PALA’d in a different thread?

If so, linky, please?

I think it’s in the Deranged, Unhinged , and Broken-Brained Republican Idea of the Day thread (DUABBRIOTD), but I can’t find it to link.

I’m sure I saw it mentioned in the Typical Republican Idea of the Day thread.

Here ya go kaylasdad99, just for you.

If I were the new DNC head, I would be grateful that the Trump Administration is providing so much fertile soil in which I can plant the seeds for a successful 2018 mid-term.

He should blanket the airwaves with commercials that do nothing but quote tone-deaf Republicans making comments like the above, and close with the simple message: “Vote Democratic”.

Well looky here. Former Texas Rep. Steve Stockman, who invited rocker Ted Nugent to President Barack Obama’s 2013 State of the Union address, is accused of spending money meant for charity on himself and contributions to his campaign.

Here’s the juicy part. Stockman blamed his arrest on a “deep state” shadow government. :smack:

What? We don’t put veterans in the White House.

Wow. What happened to Bo Bice?

Wow, good thing we have Republicans to tell us how the Democratic Party works. If I talked to Democrats, they’d probably never tell me that they’re as anti-tax as any Pubbie, and also wildly anti-gun.

You know, because I know actual Democrats in politics, and they’re not.

That’s a proven way to lose. People don’t know what Democrats stand for anymore. Make a policy stand for Head Start, or whatever fits the particular example

Trump wants to build 30-foot-high wall at Mexican border

I think it’ll look like this (Giant Cave Trolls not included):

At least six feet into the ground, eh? That’ll certainly stop the tunnelers, you betcha!

The Trump administration wants to build a 30-foot-high Mexican border wall that “looks good” from the north side.

I went to the Customs and Border Protection web site and found this.

FOX News covers the Marine nudes story by attacking the female Senator who criticized the Marines for doing it.

Wouldn’t it be great if nobody bids, if nobody builds the damn thing?

That would be nice, but it’s pie-in-the-sky stuff.

Not only are there millions of Americans who want this pointless boondoggle of an abomination built, but there are also companies who would be very happy to take the money for building it.

There’s a measure before the El Paso City Council to forbid any company which works on The Wall from bidding on city contracts
