Stupid Republican idea of the day

I spent a week on Lesbos once. I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

White House official uses “cosmopolitan” as insult in press conference. Linky. Like the Soviets and Nazis. Linky. All he forgot was the “rootless.”

Don’t you mean Dong! Dong! Dong! ?

I have a question that I wasn’t sure where to post, so I thought here might be appropriate, considering the President’s 17 day vacation: what is the official ™ conservative line on why European countries are wrong to require so much paid time off compared to the United States?

I’m glad there’s agreement on what a disgusting twit David Brooks is. He may not be an extreme right-winger, but he gives even moderate right-wingism a sickly smell.

BTW, the “manly” nature of guns and the “men” who carry them was the most “intellectual” link I’ve seen in the countless “My [del]cock[/del] gun is 5 inches long, How long is yours?” threads we see here at SDMB.

Come to think of it, the Greek had this huge spear called sarissa that was 20 feet long. I wonder how big their chariots were…

They were usually about 15 feet long but they were always bragging that theirs was 20 feet.

Anyway it was too big to be thrown, so they used this masculine thrusting.

It was so long that even the guys in the rear ranks could get involved in the masculine thrusting!

Oh, those guys in the rear ranks get ALL the perks.

But the BEST position is in the center ranks, aka the “Lucky Pierres.”

If you deserve a vacation, then you earn a vacation.

The govt shouldn’t be telling employers how to treat their employees.

The Governor of West Virginia has converted from Democrat to Republican. I can’t imagine that it would have any thing to do with his coal deals with Russia, to whom he sold his coal mines for $600 million and then bought back for $5 million.

Someone has to tell 'em. They sure don’t know themselves.

That was sarcasm, but I will point out that there are some good employers out there.

Justice was a Republican up to 2015, when Bill Cole announced he would run for West Virginia Governor and locked up support from local Republican Party elites. Justice literally was a DINO.

Clearly, the vast majority, which is why we don’t need union thugs anymore.

This is totally not sour grapes … but the party affiliation of a governor means doodly-squat. If he had said “yesterday I believe in progressive liberalism but now I’ve seen the error of my ways” that would be one thing, but he’s the same guy today he was last week. He just changed the letter after his name, which means he plays on a different softball team during the annual Gubernatorial Camp-out.

A Republican campaign donor is suing the Republican Party for fraud for raising money on promises of repealing Obamacare and then failing to do so.

The War Against H.R. McMaster
*Rumors have circulated for days that the national-security adviser’s job is on the line, and the pro-Trump media have launched an all-out assault against him.

Dang. The two generals are cutting off Bannon & Co. from access to their Toy Puppet President. How dare they!

As governor of West Virginia, he gets to name any replacement Senators or Congressmen until a special election is held. The administration has been telegraphing moving Rick Perry from the Dept of Energy to the Dept of Homeland Security and then offering Democratic Senator Manchin (who has a slightly higher than zero chance of being re-elected in 2018) the vacated DoE spot, so Justice can name a Repbulican replacement and give the Senate yet another chance to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
