Stupid Republican idea of the day

He’s far more outraged at Kaepernick than at the white supremacist who murdered Heather Heyer.

I hope some pundit (or politician) with a wider audience than our board clues on to that as well; it’s a fantastic talking point.

I haven’t been a football fan in decades, and I won’t support it now because of the safety risks, but I wish I could.

Okay, they were more diplomatic than that…

I like it tho. Trump disrespected a Golden State Warrior and the team opted to stick together and back their teammate. As a proud Union member, I approve of this action.

Congressman Mark Walker, the chair of the House Republican Study Committee (whatever that is), called the female members of the committee the committee’s eye candy.

Wait, is that the best we can do in three days? Why? Is it that Trump is really sucking up all the media attention?

Well, that is pretty epically stupid, even if not exactly a ‘stupid idea’.

Apparently, the damn fool thinks female Congresspersons will simper and blush with pleasure with a compliment from such a manly hunk of flesh such as himself.

“Hey, wadya want? It was a COMPLIMENT, Okay? I mean, I just said she looked like a nice piece of ass! She should be HAPPY that I said such a positive thing, right? What are ya gonna do. Broads these days, eh? Probably that time of the month.”

Now that he’s received his presidential pardon, America’s Sheriff and Trump worshipper Joe Arpaio is apparently back to politics. He’s coming to California this week to try and get his political career back on track, and is going to be speaking at a Republican fund-raising dinner in Fresno at the end of the week. But Joe’s too hot even for some of California’s notoriously conservative Central Valley GOPers:

Anyway, what’s the bad idea, i hear you ask?

LOL.

Let us know how that goes for you, Joe.

Steven Seagal goes off on the NFL protesters.

Steven Seagal has Russian citizenship.

I myself have risked my life countless times for the American Flag

umm. cite?

One too many kicks to the head. He thinks his movies are documentaries.

Lindsey Graham says he had no idea what he was doing with Graham-Cassidy.

Who knew healthcare could be so complicated?

Yeah, that’s one of the more mind-blowing things about all this. The Republicans have been complaining and plotting to remove Obamacare for seven years - but apparently never bothered to come up with any sort of plan to replace, or even how they’d react if they got the opportunity.

It would be more accurate to say that they never bothered to come up with a plan to successfully smoke-screen their actual plan (“Are there no emergency rooms? And the free clinics: are they still in operation?”).

And if they are, well, we’d better make sure to shut those down, too. Let them reduce the surplus population.

What amazes me about that quote is that he apparently thought he could throw together a plan to revamp 1/6 of the US economy in a month . . .

I’m reminded of my old cat. When she finally caught a cicada and had no idea what she was going to do with it, she just looked at me with pleading eyes and a giant-ass bug in her mouth.

Follow the cat’s example and just let it go, Lindsey.

Ha! That is a great metaphor.
