Stupid Republican idea of the day

No, that’s completely believable.

The Trump Administration seems to completely ignore real-world evidence. (Unless it agrees with their pre-conceived ides.)

Well, as I said elsewhere today;

Republicans are at war with Reality, and they think they are winning.

It wasn’t actually my proposal, and ZPG isn’t so much a “fantasy religion” as a policy proposal in an attempt to evade disaster.

Hey, ideas are people even before conception!

Are there any Shakers left?

This article from last January implies there were two Shakers left at that time.

Sandy Rios thinks leftists don’t want us to have air conditioning.

Someone tried explaining that to Bush and Congress a few years back. Guess what she got called?

I believe that Limbaugh called her an upstanding woman with a well thought out and articulate opinion.

Isn’t Michael J Fox a Shaker? :stuck_out_tongue:

That was February of 2012, when Bush left office four years earlier.

I tried to say the name of the new FCC chairman, but it came out as 5 syllables. What wonderful improvements does Ajit Fucking Pai have in mind for the internets? He feels that ISP pricing needs to be deregulated if the providers almost have competitors: if there is alternative service that is within half a mile of your home, then you can choose. Or something.

Somehow I’m not finding that funny, considering what he actually called her, at length.

So this is some petty-ass bullshit, but it made me giggle, so I’m gonna share.

Friend of a Friend posted this stupid meme from the prestigious news site “No Snowflake U Lose.” For those of you with the same brand of lazy cynicism that I suffer from, you’re not gonna click, so I’ll describe it.

Two pictures:

  1. Female lion leaping on the back of a zebra, labeled, “UNARMED VICITM [sic].”
  2. Mountain lion staring at a porcupine, labeled, “ARMED [del]VICTIM[/del] ANY QUESTIONS?”

A couple of weeks ago, I woulda scrolled past the dumb meme. But nature is awesome, and my kids love telling me about their National Geographic for kids.

So I posted this picture.

You see, it turns out that in all the world, porcupines have very few predators. One of the vanishingly few species that can kill and eat a porcupine?

Yup. Mountain lions.

It’s hard to imagine a worse-chosen metaphor to support the gun lobby :).

And zebras aren’t exactly unarmed, either.

Well, now. What do you suppose Hell’s gonna look like?

One big DopeFest.

We have a front row seat. All three hundred odd million of us.

Heraldically speaking, they’d be unguled rather than armed. /Herald-Pedant

I find your remark to be unpalletable.
