Please try not to be shocked. Are you sitting down? Good.
Trump is letting a foreigner charged with rape stay in the US. Seems he found out the guy is a member at Mar-a-Lago.

Dinky Zinke responding to suggestions that maybe that deal to restore Puerto Rico’s powergrid isn’t totally in PR’s best interests.

Steve King (R-Iowa, a regular in this thread) went shootin’ with Donny Jr., El Pendejo Pequeno. And for what? King tweeted it:
Yes. A peasant hunt.
Was it a pleasant peasant hunt, or were the peasants a bunch of pissants?
Serfs up!
"I have no regard for the peasants!? They are my people! I am their sovereign. I love them!
Pull!
Am I the only one who is more encouraged than discouraged by these rallies popping up?
It seems like the numbers in all of them have been a few dozen people, surrounded by hundreds or thousands of protestors. Frankly I would have thought the proportion of racist / white nationalist / neo-Nazi / Confederate secessionist traitor loving scum would have been a lot higher.
The rallies are highlighting just how lost these causes are and how universally hated these people are. Before they started happening I would have guessed the percentage of such people to be much higher than it actually is. Guess they’re just a very loud, and very stupid, minority.
You’re only seeing the ones brave enough, or perhaps simple-minded enough, to act out their racism in public and not just in the voting booth, or in innumerable everyday interactions. Many or most of those racists do not consider themselves racist at all. Their absence from Nazi rallies does not mean they are not part of the problem.
The Wall Street Journal has called for Robert Mueller’s resignation and a full blown investigation into collusion between him, the Democratic party, and the FBI.
WSJ’s actual news is still pretty good, but their editorial board is Murdochian since the Wrinkled Aussie bought the paper.
So the WSJ is saying collusion with the FBI, a law enforcement agency, is a *bad *thing. Where else would Mueller go to get incriminating information, The National Enquirer?
I saw a headline in my news feed the the New York Post was also calling for Mueller to resign. I couldn’t be bothered to read beyond the headline, though. I guess now that indictments are coming down, the right wing media is going from “nothing to see here” to “Mueller is a stooge”.
I would not be surprised to see Trump attempt to get Mueller arrested by somebody, somehow. Just firing him is not going to be enough.
I hope they get through bargaining and depression quickly; I’m looking forward to acceptance.
Sticking to “Anger” and “Denial” seems to work pretty well for them so far; why change now?
John Kelly says that Robert E. Lee was “an honorable man” and the Civil War was caused by “lack of ability to compromise”.
Of course, he means “compromise” in the battlefield meaning of the term - “Surrender immediately and unconditionally and I might let you live.” Exactly like the GOP thinks.
The Civil War, I mean, there was violence on many sides. On many sides.
I wonder what a compromise would have looked like, to Kelly.
