Yes.
Aside from being baffled about what Scott Walker would have to do with this, I would say the operative part is that she was appointed by a Republican and then started bulldozing anything that was in the way of revenue. Republicans are assholes, who hire assholes to effect their assholery. That a Republican also had to fire her just means they got caught being indefensible assholes.
She came from Wisconsin. There was some kind of scandal there, too, but I haven’t found what that was.
I haven’t been able to find anything about why she was fired from the DNR in 2003, but her 2012 firing in Milwaukee prolly had to do with a cheap long term lease she wanted to award.
So she was definitely let go for cause once, and maybe twice. Easy to understand why Arizona hired her, then.
A nice one-sentence takedown of GOP-TV:
Which allows me to once again observe that the biggest difference between this thread and it’s liberal counter-thread is not the size or the stupidity but the fact that here you have sitting US Senators and in there it’s often a girl scout leader in New Jersey or a college kid at Berkeley.
And in fact a whole separate thread (or set of threads) are required to cover the constant stream of idiocy from the President of the USA himself. Who has trotted out the usual “It’s cold, therefore there’s no global warming” bullshit again. I’m not even going to bother to link to it; I haven’t the strength anymore.
I’ll do it! Whad’ya know? AOL is still a thing.
Scientists slam Trump’s clueless climate change tweet: ‘He’s a clown’
Plus, the Idiot-in-Chief was just in California which is literally ON FIRE.
I suppose it’s only to be expected: first Hell freezes over, then Paradise burns down.
Do these idiots even know what “revaluation” of a currency means? It’s real simple: Someone in power says “The dinar is too small to be practical. Henceforth, one New Dinar is worth 1000 Old Dinar.”. And so anyone who spent a thousand dollars to buy a million Old Dinar now has a thousand New Dinar, which are still worth only a thousand dollars.
Currencies can change their inherent value, too. But the sign of a healthy currency is not that it increases dramatically in value: The sign of a healthy currency is that it stays stable, wherever it is. So if Trump were to work some magic to make the Iraqi economy great again, that would guarantee that an investment in dinars wouldn’t grow.
Yeah. It’s like, I’m sure there is a Democratic version of Donald Trump somewhere, but that person is writing manifestos on Youtube comment sections, and not in the White House. There is simply no equivalence between the two parties with regard to their loony extremes. The left’s loony extreme is marginalized while the right’s is now the party itself.
Thump: “Way too complicated! Big numbers! Fake news! Fake facts! Hillary! Emails! Benghazi! Obama!” <Head explodes>
If only.
The lame duck Republican-controlled House has issued subpoenas for James Comey and Loretta Lynch to ask them whatever stupid questions they think they should be asked, in private. Comey said “ask me whatever you want, but I will only participate if the hearing is public.” Lynch has yet to respond.
The same lame duck Republican-controlled House has said they’re going to investigate the Clinton Foundation.
That and entertaining the notion to shut down both the southern border and the government one last time for the holidays while they are still in full control of the government is the best they’ve got.
Happy New Year!
Maybe they are throwing Il Douche a bone, distract him. A public display that he can tweet about. If there were anything, it would long been out there, but they can recycle the same set of crapola and look! Hillary and Comey are being investigated! People are saying they might go to jail!
Anything to yank his attention away from ordering Justice to prosecute someone. In terms of impeachment, that’s Colonel Mustard in the library with the candlestick.
Here’s a fun thought. If Trump shuts down the government, how does he expect all the border shenanigans he’s pulling to continue unfunded? Personally, I don’t think the government of Estados Unidos Mexicanos is going to write a blank check (or any check, for that matter) to help him out of this hole he’s digging.
Kentucky governor, Matt Bevin, had his earlier plans for Medicaid (work/education/volunteer requirements) blocked by court order. The courts found that the changes that he wanted were not in agreement with the federal requirements.
Undaunted, he has resubmitted the bill for approval. Without making any substantive changes to his original submission. Somehow, he thinks that it’ll be allowed to become law this time around.
Ooh, that could be fun - it worked out so well for the GOP when Hillary testified . . .
Maybe the GOP didn’t get what they wanted regarding Hillary, but I think that they like having the White House as a consolation prize.
