Stupid Republican idea of the day

Oh,we’re sneaker than that.
It’s hidden in the backyard, and we’re burning bonfires & roasting marshmallows for our own kids and their friends from the neighborhood. Thus sneakily ‘normalizing’ GLBT families and undermining American society!

It’s happening - now.

And it will continue to happen.

When Democrats are forced to torch one of their own, that tells you something.

To be completely honest, though, Omar should really stop talking shit about Israel and focus on other subjects. Fair or not, right or not, Americans are going to look at the hijab she’s wearing and assume that she’s an anti-semite whenever she criticizes Israel -even in a measured tone. She wasn’t elected to talk about Israel; she was elected to help her district and as a Somali-born, naturalized American, she needs to understand that.

I know it’s coming, so get the blowtorch out and put it to my face. I can take it (I think).

Since when are the two mutually exclusive? And I thought we were done giving Israel a pass on committing human-rights abuses just because we have more Jewish people in America than Muslim…

“Fair or not, right or not…” I’m tired of that shit. You want “American Exceptionalism”? Try doing something RIGHT as opposed to something THAT LOOKS GOOD.

This is nonsense and you know it. Support for Israel is a political topic and one that many congresscritters, past and present, have talked about ad nauseam. You don’t think her constituents knew about her feelings on Israel when they elected her?

Huh. One of us must have missed something.

Huh?

Bundles of sticks. In their dreams, anyway.

What can I say…I had an optimism attack.

Hamberders.

Washington Post, sorry it it’s paywalled but it really is worth a subscription…

Republican men in business suits and pearl necklaces. Yup, they wanted to make sure that those testifying about personal experiences with gun violence knew that they were not going to be taken seriously.

“The implication was clear, they said: These politicians thought gun-control activists were “clutching their pearls” in overwrought and self-righteous outrage — and, specifically, female outrage.
The advocates, who were volunteers with the group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, said they felt mocked, as if some of the lawmakers were not interested in hearing stories about how gun violence has affected their lives.”

I don’t understand how they could POSSIBLY think that was a good idea.

Really, that’s something a 10 year old would do.

Because they’re petty nasty bullies elected by petty nasty bullies. All the decent people in the Republican party have been voted out or otherwise driven away in the last decade or so.

WaPo subscription is really cheap or possibly free for Amazon Prime members (since Jeff Bezos owns both). I get it every day on my kindle. It is a great paper. Go to amazon and search for “washington post subscription for prime members.” If you subscribe, you can read the website, too. It will ask you to log in, and one of the options is “log in with amazon.”

Republican Rep. Mike Rounds: Trump paid off porn star because “The President loves his family”.

“I didn’t want to get caught”.

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) [today] compared the influx of migrants at the southern border to the D-Day invasion from World War II.

So, by extension we are the Nazis?

Yet another shining example of how stupid the Republicans really are. Deplorable morons.

Thank you. I did not know this.
