“Wrong Way” Rubio strikes again.
Sometimes it seems like Republicans think they live in in the Potterverse and have magic spell words they can use to conjure up a winning argument on any subject. “Benghazi!” they cry. “Venezuela! Butterymales! Socialism! MAGA!”
Strangely, they never seem to notice that in reality they’re just standing in the middle of a playground wearing old tablecloths as a cloak and waving sticks around ineffectually as parents worriedly hurry their children away from the crazy people.
What a surprise – another GOP state party official is a white supremacist: In Leaked Chats, Nebraska GOP Gov’s Field Director Pushed White Nationalism - TPM – Talking Points Memo
Well, Don Jr. thinks he’s okay. YOU’RE just part of the “outrage mob.”
I guess his point is that outrage at outrageous things is just… well, outrageous!
The acorn didn’t fall far from the tree. :dubious:
Very true.
One point about this is that only a certain fraction of the US voting population is at all likely to have a reflexive response to “SOCIALISM!!!11!!”—a lot of them are older, but as you point out, not every older person is going to fall for this particular tactic.
Also, some younger people, brought up in information-deprived environments, are going to fall for the tactic. IQ and/or upbringing will be crucial.
All in all, it’s another case of Trump’s “I love the poorly-educated” remark being relevant.
I guess the storyline now is that the Commie Socialists are long gone out of Russia, and Vlad is one of our own: a God-fearing Capitalist, and one heck of a white man. So, it’s all good.
Shouldn’t that have read “abduct at gunpoint”? Where are the drones? the water-board tortures? Don’t you think the statists want to mix psychoactive drugs with the vaccines to crush the spirit of freedom?
Are you starting to mellow out, Will? Say it ain’t so!
You laugh but just the other day at Not Always Right someone reported a customer walking into her coffee house, waiting five minutes without saying a word, then shrieking at them for not knowing what her order would have been because she was the mayor’s aide – in a town on the other side of Great Britain.
More hits from Tucker the Love Sponge:
OK, we all do stupid things that we regret when we’re young, and our views change over time. Maybe in the years since he posted these he’s learned his lesson…

Then again maybe not.
What the ever loving fuck is “chad nationalism”? White supremacy with penny loafers?
Jacob Wohl created a fake Twitter account claiming to be a gay Latino “diversity coordinator” and sent himself death threats, which he then allegedly reported to the Minneapolis police.

Okay, it’s probably a sign of the times that we’re in, but is anyone else starting to think that this guy might actually be a deep-cover leftist troll, playing the part of a laughably incompetent right-wing troll to discredit all the other right-wing trolls?
Because come on. How many times can you try to pull off a con, have it blow up in your face in hours (if not minutes!), and be revealed as just incredibly stupid and incompetent, before you just give up trying? Does this guy want to be the poster child for the stereotypical pathetic rich white boy loser who gets by purely on his rich white boy privilege?
A pro-Trump “artist” (see the accompanying picture of his “art” in the link) is suing the Smithsonian because they refuse to hang his painting of Individual 1, a bald eagle, and the planet Earth. He says he will go to the Supreme Court to force the Smithsonian to allow him his First Amendment rights to hang whatever works he thinks he should be allowed to hang.
That’s great. Let’s find a first grader’s fingerpaints and go to court to force art museums to hang it on their walls.

That painting definitely looks appropriate for a flea market, or the side of a stalker van.
Is it me or does that look like Clint Eastwood with a Trump wig?
From the article: “He also says the quality of the painting should not be relevant to whether it is displayed at the gallery”
What a moron.
Fake death threats are only newsworthy when a lefty does it. When it’s a right wing troglodyte, that’s not news. Just look away. Nothing to see here. Business as usual.
This does sum up many right-wingers thoughts on “free speech”.
What they mean by it is “I should be free to say whatever I want with no consequences, and private business should be made to provide me a platform in which to say it.”
Well, it is kind of a man-bites-dog-vs-dog-bites-man situation.
Well, the Smithsonian isn’t a private business, but otherwise …
