Stupid Republican idea of the day

One of those “testosterone booster supplement” purveyors ought to get the rights to a normal Chuck Todd show and this performance and make a commercial implying that they are “BEFORE” and “AFTER” snapshots.

“Those who give up liberty for dollars deserve neither.”
–Benjamin Franklin (It’s all about the Benjamins)

Here’s a stupid Republican idea:

Throw the Kurds under the bus. Bumpity bump. Thanks guys for all your support in the past, and we know that we’ve protected you from Turkey for decades and you were long tme allies, but…

Trump decided that you were expendable and he really does not understand where you are or what the situation is. He’s busy tweeting rude nicknames for people, so does not have the time to figure it out. So… tough luck.

Of course, when the region all goes to hell in a handbasket because of this, Trump will blame Obama. Or Hillary. Or someone in his own cabinet. Plenty of room under the bus.

Senator Lindsey Graham, a staunch Trump loyalist on most issues, told Fox News the move represented “a big win for Iran and Assad [and] a big win for Isis”.

Hey Senator; There is a solution when a president is going off the fucking rails like this. Take a look; This solution might be right in front of your nose.

That would require the South Carolina Slinky to acquire a spine.

The thing is… Even in a hypothetical world, where there is a recording and twelve witnesses that all describe Trump calling Erdoğan and promising him that the US will remove troops and let Turkey massacre all the Kurds they want… In exchange for a cash payment directly to Trump business…

The Republicans would all line up to support Trump. They are just that horrible now.

Under stupid lesser Republican ideas, this is from my embarrassment of a Congressional representative, Andy Biggs:

(yes, he really does talk like that)

This isn’t the first time Andy’s self-owned himself by misunderstand what it is that he’s referencing.

My response :

The poor Kurds are really the Middle East’s Poland. They keep getting fucked over by everybody.

You may have heard of my congressional district (GA-6), which was represented by Newt Gingrich from 1978 to 1998. It came to national prominence again in 2017, when seven-term Republican Tom Price was selected by Trump to head HHS in February 2017. (He was forced to resign in less than six months over charges that he used military and private jets for personal travel. A typical corrupt Trump appointee who was held to a higher ethical standard than his boss.)

In the special election to fill his seat, Democrat Jon Ossoff was narrowly defeated by Trump toady Karen Handel. Then in 2018 (with the active help of me and my wife) the district elected Democrat Lucy McBath in 2018, the first time it had gone to a Democrat since 1978. However, that rep, John Flynt, was an old-style Democrat, a strict segregationist who had served since the 1960s. So effectively, 2018 was the first time the district has been represented by what we would today call a Democrat.

But the area is hardly solid blue, and is apparently still capable of raising nut jobs. A few weeks ago, signs started springing up with the following message: “Marjorie Greene. Save America. Stop Socialism.”

Here’s the candidate: Marjorie Taylor Greene.

More hateful stuff she’s said and done is described at the link. My wife and I will be working harder than ever to make sure she doesn’t get elected.

In case you had not guessed, I think we can do away with any thought that Trump did this for some sort of reason. Basically, he announced that the USA is shafting their long term allies the Kurds, because he’s a gullible idiot.

That is all. That’s it.

On another note; Does congress have any say in running the country anymore? At all? Or is the USA now governed entirely by random tweet from someone with the mental capacity of a 4 year old? If Trump tweets that he’s selling Alaska to Russia for a dollar is that it? Done deal? Nobody else has any say in the matter?

Well, I’m sure Putin would prefer rubles.

To add to the above:

If Trump has his spokesperson state that " United States forces, having defeated the ISIS territorial “Caliphate,” will no longer be in the immediate area."

Does that mean that ISIS is now defeated? That’s it, go home, it’s all over, Trump has won…? Nobody else has any say in the matter?

What part of “acting unilaterally” is confusing you?

ETA: “America is exceptional and part off being this kind of exceptional is getting to call the shots. All the shots. All the time. Everywhere.” This hasn’t been a secret conservative position or anything; they wear it on their sleeves FFS.

Have you already forgotten about W’s big banner and the fighter jet flight to get to it to make his big speech? This kind of shit isn’t new.

EATA: Remember this from Karl Rove?

I guess what I’m saying is… Is Congress still actually a thing now? Are we a full blown dictatorship?

Well, a lot of people are talking about this, now, and fewer people are talking about how Trump openly committed a crime when he encouraged China to intervene in our elections.

So there’s that.

But I bet Trump got a lot of money out of it, too.

Where are these idiots getting the idea that you can impeach members of Congress?
Probably from the same place where people are claiming that if Individual 1 is not convicted in an impeachment trial, he can run for a third term. “Just read the Constitution”.

I guess, thechnically, senate Republicans could step up to the plate and HAHA! Ha Ha! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Oh nevermind, I couldn’t say it with a straight face.

You joke, but the GOP, the KKK, & the Mafia have been converging & turning into each other for decades. It’s this or cross-burning.

Wait until Republicans find out that Sondland was communicating with the State Department via Whatsapp on personal devices. I mean, they’re so invested in the issue of email security, I’m sure that there will be hell to pay and they will have a consistent stance on this issue.

They already have one.
