Stupid Republican idea of the day

Heh. I reported it. I’m sure there were others.

Good on ya!!!

I mean, really, good luck with that – apparently, the Democrats moving this investigation forward never actually asked for or obtained Devin Nunes phone records at all. They obtained phone records of the people they were investigating, wherewithin they happened to notice Nunes’ number.

How dare you investigate people who might reveal evidence that I did something wrong!

House Republicans want Senate Republicans to subpoena Adam Schiff’s phone, individual 1 wants Pelosi and the Bidens and Schiff called to testify during the impeachment hearing. The Senate Republicans are saying, yeah, probably not.

Much in the same way they were “spying on Trump” because he kept turning up when they had their cameras pointed at (other) suspected criminals.

Devin “Deer In The Headlights” Nunes claims that he can’t remember talking to Parnas on the phone. Parnas’ lawyer is here to help him out:
“Parnas’ personal lawyer was not convinced by Nunes’ Fox News appearance yesterday. Responding to his interview with the network, Bondy tweeted: “Hey @DevinNunes—Lev remembers what you spoke about. You don’t remember? #LetLevSpeak”. …”

Who is more credible? Devin Nunes or Lev Parnas? Which is the more pleasant odor, a pot of sewer soup or a dead armadillo?

What, what? #LetLevSpeak ?? Is somebody stopping Lev from speaking? Did Trump order him not to speak? Nunes keeping him quiet? Who’s he taking orders from anyway? If he’s not called to testify, can’t he just talk to a reporter? Is his lawyer telling him to keep quiet, even as he uses the #LetLevSpeak hashtag?

I for one thought he was behind bars. Didn’t he and the other guy get arrested just prior to attempting to leave the country?

That is correct. According to this CNBC article

The House Ethics Committee has told Duncan Hunter that he can no longer vote in the House, after pleading guilty.

Cowboys for Trump likely stole White Sand from White Sands National Monument, a federal offense.

:dubious: Uh huh. Sure he did.

The genealogy boom has hit a roadblock. The Trump administration plans huge fee hikes for immigration records.

I believe [my] bolded part answers the question.

In a stunningly quick reversal, Cowboys for Trump group now says sand wasn’t from monument.

The story also says that if he tries to vote anyway, he’d get further punishment.

This makes me wonder: would his vote count if he tried to cast it while being under the prohibition?

He’s resigning after the holidays. I have no idea why he doesn’t just resign now. He can’t vote. He could spend the time at home with his family.

He’s going, he’s going, don’t rush him. (Reuters)

ETA: Whoops! Ninja’d by you, Morgyn!

No idea why he’s waiting, by maybe he doesn’t really want to face the wife after throwing her under the bus.

Waves tiny fists in victory salute.

Finally! I get in before anyone else!

Does Congress get a Xmas bonus?

Pfffft. You amateur colonial wankers. Come back when your representative critter announces he’s running for mayor again via phone call from his jail cell, where he was put for (among other things) misappropriating public funds and using city hall to launder money.
That’s how we rock it in the Old World, baby. Ain’t no depths of shaaaame enough…
