Good old Streisand effect.
I am actually amused that the Republicans on the Judiciary committee are so outraged that they can’t get Adam Schiff to testify, but they have no problem with Individual 1 refusing to allow any of his people to testify.
A reporter tried to get Devin Nunes to answer questions about the Lev Parnas phone calls, but Nunes walked away from him, then came back, took pictures of him, and tweeted that he was being stalked.
A Perennial Congressional Candidate Beloved by Trump World Was Just Arrested on Stalking Charges
In a nut (so to speak) shell, Omar Navarro is a right-wing pomposity who repeatedly ran against Maxine Waters for her seat and got trounced each time. He’s running again in 2020, but it seems as though his ex-girlfriend DeAnna Lorraine Tesoriero had him arrested for stalking her. Weirdly enough, she’s running against Nancy Pelosi for her seat. Then it gets weirder.
I still can’t get over how chickenshit conservatives are of Antifa. Don’t their guns and ammo protect them enough?
Buuuut, what really is discriminatory of Navarro on a level of Giuiliani’s unintentional candor is him invoking Reagan’s Eleventh Commandment.
Oh, so NOW you invoke Reagan after completely destroying his platform? Fuck fiscal responsibility. Fuck accountability for one’s actions. Fuck opposing the Russians. DON’T RAT ON ME! I CAN’T HANDLE THE CRITICISM!
If it weren’t for fake outrage they’d have no outrage at all!
What makes you think Reagan was fiscally responsible, or accountable for his actions?
That was his platform that the Republicans considered gospel at the time, and now they’ve totally reversed. What made you focus on that bit instead of Navarro?
He still wasn’t fiscally responsible. He was the first President whose policy was dubbed “voodoo economics”. 40 years later we still have people believing that fiscal responsibility consists of lowering taxes in order to increase revenue even though it’s been thoroughly disproven time and again.
Hey, it wouldn’t be a day ending in Y if there wasn’t at least one Trump-supporting right-winger caught committing a crime somewhere.
Fighting ignorance.
I had a paper route in the early-'80s. I still remember noticing a headline back then that said the federal debt passed $1 trillion for the first time.
Read Reagan’s speech about the Iran-Contra affair if you want to know how accountable he was for his actions.
Bridgeport, CT has their own Buddy C. Meet Joe Ganim.
He was elected to another term this year.
This is nonsense. The gypsum “sand” covers most of the valley. A big windstorm from an unfavorable direction will bring out the DOT with graders and front end loaders to clear the highway.
The gypsum is exactly the same fine powder that you get when you drill a hole in drywall, or erase from a chalk board. It doesn’t take much wind to move it, and the locals have to clear it off driveways and such occasionally.
While the dunes of the monument are officially designated as a national treasure, the gypsum dust they are made from is mostly just a nuisance to the locals. What you have described as a “large amount” could be found on a suburban driveway after a big windstorm.
It wouldn’t surprise me, that if asked, a DOT worker (not a bureaucrat) would say “You vaqueros want to take some sand off the side of the highway?? Sure guys, knock yourselves out!”
The end of the Valley where the Monument is located is just where the prevailing winds tend to pile the stuff, but that is due to averaged winds over decades…short term the winds are constantly taking some of it from here to there and beyond.
The white you see on a satellite map is the active dunes that are moving. If they slow too much, vegetation can take root and stop the motion, and eventually you see green (well, more brown, it’s NM after all) from space, but the ground under the yucca and mesquite is still the white gypsum. It is just the “dirt” you’ll find in the lower areas of that valley. If you clear the brush to put in a road or a driveway, you are left with the gypsum.
There are so many legitimate places they could have gotten that stuff, that to presume they “stole” it is just silly. Around Alamogordo, it’s just dirt.
Sending drywall powder to DC may be pointlessly sentimental, but is WAYYYY below the standard of dumbness republicans have set in recent years. If the stuff came from outside the monument fence, it’s still the same stuff, and I don’t see how referencing the monument does anything more than giving context to the reason they were sending some dirt to DC.
The statue of Ceres at the top of the Missouri capitol building was taken down for repairs, and now a Republican state legislator doesn’t want it to go back up there because “We serve a mighty God and we have need for no other god(s).”
Say no to ‘false god’: Missouri lawmaker urges governor to block historic statue?
I like the way he thinks. We should also abolish Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And keep an eye on Sunday and Monday.
HERESY ! Don’t you know Moon’s day is some Muslim paganism ? Jack Chick taught me so. As for Sun’s day, that’s obviously Roman idolatry.
From now on, every day shall be known as Godday. Sort it out.
I hope nobody tells him about the U.S. Capitol.
Wrong thread. Fuck lying bastard republicans.
Did you notice the representative’s last name?
So, here’s something that annoys the shit out of me. Republicans are allowed to openly disdain parts of the United States. Can you imagine the DNC chairperson doing the equivalent of this? Stating that politicians should be discounted as Americans because they are from Wyoming, Kansas and North Dakota?
Easy one. IOWRDI.
