She could be prosecuted under both state and federal laws, with the federal charges serving (largely) as ‘penalty enhancements.’ For example, Dylan Roof could have been prosecuted solely under South Carolina law for his 2015 church killings. In the event he was charged also under federal hate crime laws, which generally carry stricter penalties than the equivalent state laws.
But it’s up to the US Department of Justice to decide whether or not to charge. And such decisions have been going in the ‘don’t charge’ direction. From August of this year:

Bottom line, we are becoming a more pluralistic country. Those who seek to reject said pluralism must, of necessity, reject the democracy that flows from it.
I can count on exactly zero fingers how many times I’ve “de-registered to vote” in any jurisdiction. What I have done is whenever I’ve moved–across town, to the next town, or even to another state–is to register to vote in the appropriate jurisdiction. What I have never done is vote where I’m not resident.
Depending on the city, my actual family name is either mostly represented in the Black community or the White community. It is quite easy to mistake my color just going by my name if you’re not famililar with the demographics of a different area.
Isn’t that why there are provisional ballots? I wonder how much training the poll workers get on that and how often people of color are not informed of their options for it.
That’s because those who reject pluralism have always rejected democracy in our country. They prefer only certain people to have the privilege of voting and, to ensure “the wrong person” didn’t get into the top office in the country, they cobbled together the electoral college. You saw how well that worked out, didn’t you?
Watching that video the thing that jumps out at me is how instinctively protective Bill is of Hillary, but I kind of doubt that that is the message that Gosar wanted to send.
