I think Democrats in Congress should just cough loudly whenever they’re standing near a Republican. That would be hilarious.
A guy told me yesterday that he was at an event with a big crowd and he sneezed. Instantly there was a wide circle around him.
Miami Herald article - I saw it in the Trump Cluster Fuck thread, I believe.
Louie Gohmert: Patient IQ-Zero.
Thank you! That’s my new favorite insult.
Oh, please, oh, please, oh, please.
The mayor of Kansas City was turned away from the polls this morning because his name wasn’t in the system of registered voters. I’m sure that, in Missouri, his being black has nothing to do with his name being taken off the rolls.
Of course, there were immediate excuses and the poll worker was blamed instead of the system.

The moral of this story is…
If you are refused a ballot, make sure you are a mayor. Otherwise, you might not be able to vote.
This is so stupid. The article says “After a brief investigation, they found out the poll workers accidentally transposed the mayor’s first and last names”
They don’t fucking try it more than once? They don’t look to see if they made a mistake? They just try the name once and then say “Sorry, you are not here. I said good day!”
CPAC members are complaining “of a two-tiered system: VIPs have been notified directly even to be told they did not interact with the infected man, while ordinary rank-and-file conference-goers have by and large been left to wonder, receiving only vaguer information in mass emails.”
They are so tantalizingly close to understanding the problem. But, maybe if they pull themselves up by their bootstraps, they too, can be VIPs and be deemed worthy of living.
Alex Jones charged with DWI.

A few notes from that article:
[ol]
[li]His BAC was 0.79. Shouldn’t that be DUI, not DWI?[/li][li]He got pulled over for doing 45 in a 40 zone? Seriously?[/li][li]Alex Jones lives in Austin, arguably the most liberal city in Texas?[/li][/ol]
The semi-official/de facto (Yes; I know that’s rhetoric. Tough.) mouthpiece of the current republican party, aka Fox “News” aired this lovely sentiment from one of its news hosts:
His BAC was 0.79 two hours after he was stopped. Unless he magically doesn’t metabolize alcohol, he was higher while he was behind the wheel.
He was pulled over because his wife ratted him out, calling the police to say he drove off while drunk. The speeding was incidental.
But did you consider that the BAC was due to overspray from chemtrails? Also his wife is a crisis actor.
Trump’s response to pandemic threat: Tax Cut!
Seriously?
I swear that if an earth distroying rogue asteroid were inbound, Republicans would claim this is the perfect time to elimininate social security and medicare, since nobody is going to be getting older.
It’s a tax cut for corporate people, not people people.
Impressive. A BAC of 0.79 is usually a DEAD.
Nevertheless, I don’t think you can be convicted for something that hasn’t been proven (1: how long was he out driving [the article didn’t actually say when he was pulled over, only that a deputy responded at 10:10 and he was tested at 11:56 and 11:59], 2: was his BAC actually higher). And interestingly, his BAC was .076 (yes, we both missed a leading zero) a few minutes earlier.
