This would imply people are donating in uneven numbers, including pennies, which would be odd. OR it would indicate untraceable foreign donations and an exchange rate translation, which would be illegal.

Sa this gem this morning about Kemp’s decision to “re-open” Georgia. I have no idea if it’s correct or not, but it reportedly has a lot of folks upset:

GA local, George Chidi, just wrote a local op-ed and a public facebook post that proffers an explanation for why Kemp is reopening the state for such bizarre businesses as massage parlors (really!), tattoo parlors, hair dressers and restaurants. His argument is pretty stark. The money quote is this:

                    If there's no state order calling for businesses to be closed, the people who are unemployed can no longer claim that their unemployment is involuntary, even if it would be              utter                   idiocy for them to return to work. A hair dresser or a massage therapist cannot maintain social distance. But they can certainly file for relief ... unless the law says they can work.

This is blowing up in my face book community … especially with restaurant owners, servers, hair stylists and their colleagues. No one seems to question that Chidi is right.

The main purpose obviously of this small business program was small businesses. On the other hand, you could make an argument that if my job was lost, the size of my employer doesn’t make any difference to me. I’m out of work. So it’s an interesting debate. We’re feeling our way along here, we’re trying to do the best we can to get money to our people and to our small businesses.
