Stupid Republican idea of the day

Wow. Once again, rural talk-tough Republicans show how pathetically afraid they are.

Family on a bus with a range of skin tones! Help!!

Newspaper editor calls for the return of the Ku Klux Klan.

I think what’s perhaps most hilarious about this is the delusion of the people in Forks. If this family were antifa, and looking to start the revolution, why would they start, all by themselves, in some bumfuck town in the far north-western reaches of Washington state?

“If we can take Forks, then we move on to Quillayute, Beaver, and Sappho, and pretty soon we’ll control all the territory between the Olympic Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Then it’s on to Seattle, and soon the whole state will fall. Not long after that, we’ll be marching into Washington, D.C.!!!”

Was that this year?

Dateline of 19 Feb 2019.

If you choose the right trees, and cut them the right way, they’ll fall on the road by themselves. If this road was rural enough for a good campsite, there were probably quite a few decent sized trees close enough to the road to make this easy.

The road through Forks is a 2-lane stretch of US 101 with plenty of trees alongside it that could easily be felled across the road. And everyone there (as well as their sister) has a chainsaw.

And of course, the Rapid Ewok Response Team.

Sutton (the editor) sold the paper and retired last July.

Funny as this is, it is obviously not true. It is clearly documented in “Return of the Jedi” that Ewoks are antifa.

You know, if the protesters started cosplaying Luke, Han, Leia et al, I wonder if the “rebel alliance” association would raise their cachet.

Glad to hear of it.

Why not?

Team Trump has already compared themselves to the Empire.

It’s because of all those vampires.

Wait, is that the guy who made my television?

I’ve already seen one meme of Han’s “What are you gonna do?” shrug after the Ewok battle, with the label, “I guess I’m a terrorist now?” on it.

Matt Gaetz tweeted, “I don’t wanna live in a nation too woke for the amazing @IvankaTrump.”, and the response was what could have been expected.

I’m all for the Yellowstone supervolcano losing its cool, as long as it only takes out eastern Washington and Oregon, and Idaho.

That is asinine. I myself was born in the upper right-hand corner of Oregon and, though I get up there rarely, I do not want my hometown leveled.

It is more sensible to figure out how we can get along with each other than to go wiping out the people who annoy us. I get pissed off at some of the stuff that comes out of that area (I mean, look at Idaho: of course it is full of shit, what do you expect from a place that is shaped like a toilet) but getting rid of all of the people still eliminates a notable contingent of decent people, and even many of the apparent assholes are not utterly evil but just a bit slow or something.

Getting rid of those people is the level of othering worthy of the topical dregs of this thread. Knock it off.

There IS no getting along with these people. Nothing they say or think should be acknowledged as possibly sensible. It’s the coddling of the right-wing that has led to our current situation. I don’t REALLY want them all to die, but something has to be done to discredit them.
