Any reason the Obama appointees can’t say “Fuck off, Lindsey, I’ve got a REAL job now?” It’s not as if Trump let any republicans testify at the impeachment hearings.

If somebody is subpoenaed and blows it off, or doesn’t give the Committee the answers that the majority wants to hear, they hold the witness in contempt and refer the matter to the Justice Department for further action.
The DoJ can review the same, and decide to prosecute or not.
You know where that goes. Under the current DoJ, Republicans who blow off Dem subpoenas or don’t testify right will not be prosecuted. Dems or other officials subpoenaed by Repubs who don’t show or don’t testify right will be held in contempt, referred to DoJ, and very possibly prosecuted by The Most Honorable Sainted Billy-Barr-Boy and his crew of Lesser Supporting Angels.
I like it: simple, to the point, and gets some Meredith Willson into the airwaves.
Also from The Music Man: “Shipoopi” could be replaced with “corruption” quite easily. The song was parodied in a Family Guy episode,* so is familiar to many:
