Stupid Republican idea of the day

Greatest Freudian slip evah?

He’s prepping for his post-Presidential bid job, as the heavily autotuned rapper R-Money.

Photoshop. Sorry.

A Daily Show correspondent probably already has a ticket to head down there.

I wonder what happens when a candidate who signed the pledge and got elected is discovered in the men’s room do the Republican footie dance? Do they drum him out of the party? Impeach him? Or accept his tearful apology?

“Many a beautiful theory was killed by an ugly fact.” Huxley.

You see, this is why you guys on the left will never win an election. Facts? What are they? You should deny the obvious photoshop, swear that the photo is correct, and scream with all your might that the right wing media conspiracy wing is trying to smear you.

Jeez Louis. Facts? You think elections are won with facts?

Line up on the other side of the glory hole, probably.

More Republican voter suppression efforts. WI will no longer be required to hold voter registration in high schools. Raise your hand if you’re surprised.

Well, we do have the definition of the word “santorum,” and the whole business about Glenn Beck raping and murdering a woman… So, you know, little baby steps… We’ll get better at it as it pays off…

That’s the free market in action!

Not specifically Republican and not an idea, but it’s FoxNews and it’s not worth a thread of its own:

Geography FAIL.

They’re no longer required to? Or they’re no longer allowed to?

Because didn’t the Republicans pitch a bitch a few years ago when SF dissallowed military recruiting drives in high schools? Apparently it’s fine to get them to sign up to potentially die, but not to potentially vote.

Hey, those allegations about Glen Beck raping and killing a girl in 1990 have never been proven. It is sad that he’s never denied them, either.

I think I won the thread. No, really: Missouri Capitol to host bronze statue of Rush Limbaugh.

Given that it’s Fox News, I’m kind of surprised they didn’t just label the map “Israel” and “everything else”.

It may end up being a difference without a distinction. I’m gonna have to do some research into this, but here’s my WAG. Most of WI is fairly heavily conservative and Republican, and typically elections officials are at the county level, and also Republican. So changing the law will allow them to stop high school voter registration in most of the state. It might continue in Madison and Milwaukee, and maybe some of the other liberal outpost college towns. But believe me, if they passed the law, they have plans to shut it down everywhere they’re in a position to do so.

So it looks like the New Hampshire House is working on repealing the 12 year old state law which states that insurance coverage must include contraception. Again, being framed as a religious rights issue.

Edit: the Governor is expected to veto, and they do not have enough votes to overturn the veto.

I’m so tired of this horseshit. I know there is no logic to it, its just very depressing.

The Republicans have finally awoken to the huge mass of people in the “Never had none, ain’t gonna have none, don’t want none, ever!” demographic.

This.

If that’s real, it just supports my suspicion that Fox News is a giant troll, designed to look stupid so CBS-ABC-NBC-CNN look smart by comparison.

Wait, don’t Republicans need stupid young people who have no sense of the real economic costs of their policies to register and vote? How bad must things be if a bunch of ignorant kids just starting out can’t be persuaded to vote for the majority party?

Just two more ridiculous ideas from the Republicans.

Utah bans talking about anything but abstinence and heterosexual sex in sex ed and a bill is coming in to law in Arizona that ALLOWS a doctor not to tell a pregnant woman about a dangerous issue that could even lead to her death and not be sued for it if telling her means that she might get an abortion.

Seriously these people don’t have half a brain to put together?

No, they prefer to prevent them from voting for Democrats while they’re young and more likely to be communist/socialist/satanist Democrats. and get them later after they age some and grow bitter over their failures, and are ready to blame someone else and vote Republican.
