Chuck and Larry, Chuck and Larry
Pseudo-gays who pseudo-marry
Find the sitch a little hairy
Larry and Chuck, Larry and Chuck
To prove it ain’t just for the buck
Must do something that can’t possibly fit into this rhyme scheme, goshdarnit!
Oooo, SO close! Try again – something something “luck” or “f*ck” or…
I suppose that’s a lament over the loss of moderate Republicans, but it doesn’t mention any of the specific stupidities. One wonders whether that paper may suddenly get a News Corp owned competitor some time soon.
Isn’t there an explicit formula how the representation of minorities in media develops? First as demonized threat, then as punching ball, then as the butt of jokes, then as token member of the group, then … and here my memory fails. Can someone help me out?
Note: I do not think of Gandhi’s “First they ignore you etc.”
Those Constitutional scholars down in North Cackalacky have come up with a whopper. The “Rowan County Defense of Religion Act of 2013” asserts that state establishment of religion is perfectly legal, and that federal courts aren’t allowed to decide what is or is not Constitutional, to boot.
You gotta figure that some wing nuts would sign off on this kind of thing, but the Majority Leader? Really?
If it weren’t for Soap I never would have known that Mickey Mouse’s dog is gay.
Sometimes I think these sorts of things are “stupid like a fox” moves - when they get struck down by the courts, the politicians get to say “Hey, we tried but those godless liberal courts went against the will of the people and wouldn’t let us do this!” It plays well to the segment of the population who would think that this bill was a good idea in the first place.
Hey. How are Christians going to be persecuted if they don’t manufacture the persecution in the first place. I mean, they have a quota to keep up, you know.
Lions. We don’t have nearly enough lions. Chihuahuas and cockapoos just aren’t going to get it done.
Heard on NPR this morning, went to go find an article:
“I liken it to the proverbial hunting season,” Brown says. “We tell gun owners, there’s a time to hunt deer. And the next election is the time to hunt Democrats.”
I notice that their “Whereas”'s are very keen on the Tenth Amendment but singularly fail to mention the Fourteenth, which you’d think would be relevant.
I like how they are trying to use the 10th amendment to nullify the 1st. It is sad to think that people actually think like this.
Did you check out his lapel pin? What a child.
On behalf of my state, I’d like to apologize to everyone. I’ve done what I could by writing to my (Republican, but not listed as bill supporters) Representative and Senator. I’m still agog at this. I guess it’s just grandstanding over the Rowan County ACLU suit, but Jesus people. If you’re trying to attract banks and tech firms to your bustling city areas, this just might be the wrong image to project.
I just hope none of my tax money winds up going to actually defend this in court!
The AG is still a democrat, isn’t he?
Even worse, it’s a Commie AK. What kind of an American is this guy?
Ken Cuccinelli, AG of Virginia, wants to reinstate the anti-sodomy laws.
No! No blowjobs for you! Go Greek, go to jail! Spanking the monkey, you better believe that’s a paddling!
La Cucinnelli, la Cucinelli, yo no puedo masturbate
Porque no tengo, porgue no tengo, Minnesota por mi state
Apparently, issue here is that Virginia never updated their “crimes against nature” law to comply with Lawrence because Cuccinelli and others killed a bill to do so, because he wanted to keep homosexual acts illegal. So, it’s his own stupid mess, because he considered it more important to take a symbolic stand against homosexuality than to actually have enforceable laws on the books. And people think this dunce ought to be governor?
