Whoever heard of twins not dressing the same?
Alas. She was a twin.
That’s actually Hannibal Lecter underneath the hoodie.
Not a particularly Republican stupidity. About 10 years ago, UW Madison got a lot of bad press for adding in a black student’s face to a recruiting brochure photo of a crowd at football game, presumably to demonstrate the diversity of the student population.
What war on women?
GOP advocate calls 19 yo advocate of raising minimum wage a “Radical Bitch”…suggests she’s a prostitute on FaceBook
Article update, Steve Kush has been suspended indefinitely without pay. How much you wanna bet he soon comes out with a “I apologize if anyone was offended” non-apology and then the county GOP quietly reinstates him after things die down?
JFTR, the suggestion that she’s a prostitute came from one of the guy’s interlocutors (who did, in fact apologize).
So, you think you’re just gonna waltz in here throwing around fancy California words like “interlocutor” and nobody’ll say anything about it!
Interlocutor? I barely knew 'er.
Not a Dream! Not a Hoax! Not an Imaginary Story! Not an Onion Satire!
Give the GOP some credit, its better than an empty chair
I notice that nowhere in the article does it say he was winning the debates…
Huh. A real apology (from the update to that article):
Other than the “some of my sisters are women” rubbish, it’s pretty good.
Word. If that had been posted on the SDMB in 1999, somebody would have already called him a “class act” by now.
Ah, well. Kudos, Mr. Kush. If they don’t put you back into your accustomed position, perhaps you can apply for a role in their protocol department, and teach them all the meaning of the word “apology.” Again, well done.

Huh. A real apology (from the update to that article):
Other than the “some of my sisters are women” rubbish, it’s pretty good.
Wow, I’m actually shocked. Though the cynical me thinks he wants to take “full responsibility” to spare the larger GOP from his taint. Still, good for him to offer a real apology. Don’t believe him though, too many GOPers are good enough at hiding what they really believe for me to think he did a total 180%. He’d have to actually repudiate his beliefs on minimum wage for me to believe him sincere
Louie Gomer (Goober-R):
“This administration has so many Muslim Brotherhood members that have influence that they just are making wrong decisions for America.”
I swear. I am not making this up. No, really!

I’m pretty sure that this supposed Louie Gohmert person is just something someone invented to test whether liberal northeasterners like me will believe ridiculous things about Texans. I mean, I’m prepared to believe some pretty bad things about Texas, but you aren’t getting me to believe they hand out Congressional seats by choosing the nuttiest guy that calls in to the local right-wing talk radio show. On the other had, I have seen Louie Gohmert speaking with my own two eyes.
Mississippi, this time. A school is holding mandatory Christian assemblies and barring the doors so students can’t leave.
A clever student has managed to record one of the April assemblies. A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of the students, alleging violation of the Establishment clause.
Gotta love this:
[Quote=AddictingInfo]
And since the school forced all of the students to be there and physically blocked them from leaving, these students were held against their will. That action is known as unlawful restraint and it is a felony. So this high school basically committed a crime in the effort to convert non-Christians to Christianity.

No idea if that last will fly. I’m no lawyer, and as I recall, the schools I went to were able to mandate attendance at all sorts of things. Classes, for instance.

Huh. A real apology (from the update to that article):
It’s good, but not great. I’ve read better apologies; they usually have the words “I’m sorry” in them.
…the schools I went to were able to mandate attendance at all sorts of things.
Well, sure, reform school was pretty strict where I grew up, too.
Time to bring back the Colosseum for these folks. Let them feed the lions.
