Stupid Republican idea of the day

<speechless>

I was cleaning the gun and it went off fifteen times, while I was chasing him down the street trying to stop it…

The Republicans are spinning this shutdown so hard, trying to blame it on Obama and Senate Democrats, that I fear they’ll knock the earth off its axis. Guess who gets the blame for THAT climate change, bitches!

You know, Mr. Speaker, when you harangue the Senate for not working overtime to take up your doomed-to-fail anyway Tea Party wankfest of a bill, you look really dumb. You see, there’s this thing called a calendar. It has dates in the future on it. You could have realized October 1 was coming months in advance, and dealt with this budgeting thing before the last minute. FYI.

Or you could let your real agenda slip - delay Obamacare until we take control in 2014.

Well, I always liked an optimist.

That’s pretty optimistic, for sure. Like they think any majority they pick up will be veto-proof.

What if there were Tea Party Democrats?

I have to stay away from Politico comments. You want Republican stupidity, go there.

5 minutes and I’m now tragically depressed that people can actually hold so many completely absurd ideas. It’s like double-think come to life.

Now the stupid playbook is based on denying that there is a law.

‘Hey, the American public can not tell us that we are against the law, or above the law or that we are making a mockery of the old “we are a nation of laws” bit if we call the ACA a bill no?’

The Republicans do assume that many out there are stupid, the sad thing is, I would not be surprised if their internal polls are telling them that their ruse is working with a lot of the people in their base.

Ah yes, one of Luke’s famous passages, 3:11 : “Anyone who has two shirts shouldn’t have to share them, and anyone who has food should eat it in front of a man who has none”.

And Cramer’s district received the highest amount of farm subsidies in the country.

And Rep. Stephen Fincher, R-Tenn. PERSONALLY collectedalmost $3.5 million in government farm subsidies.

The Kansas State GOP wants to block adoption of the NGSS standards for science education. They’ve filed suit on the grounds that science education which focuses on facts violates students’ religious freedoms.

Missed the edit window, but in the interest of accuracy: it is not the GOP that is filing the suit, per se, but rather “A group calling itself the Citizens for Objective Public Education (COPE), along with a collection of parents and taxpayers”. The Repubs are still on the hook for some stupid, though:

"Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
“But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Matthew 15:7-9

AIG CEO Bob Benmosche: Outrage over CEO bonuses during the meltdown was “just as bad and just as wrong” as Jim-Crow era lynchings of blacks.

Harry Binswanger writes in Forbes: “It’s Time For The 99% To Give Back To The 1%”.

Lynchings are beginning to look more and more appropriate these days. Hell, it’s only 1%…

The weird thing is that could be an Onion article without changing a word.

Look at his other articles. I think I have an ironic crush on Harry Binswanger.

Also, Boehner blamed the senate this morning for the legislative branch’s inability to pass a budget.
