Stupid Republican idea of the day

In a manner of speaking.

That right there is how Poe’s Law came into existence.

Well, on the bright side, after six or twelve months of lounging around the streets of DC, those 1,000,000 patriots might find their views changing on the plights of the homeless and unemployed…

Still, there are reasonable limits imposed, here. No more than ten million, so some millions of patriots will be turned back, apparently. Now, that has to be carefully managed, otherwise some of the millions of patriots may turn back prematurely, and lose their opportunity to be gunned down by UN troops and Occupy beigeshirts.

Congress Makes NASA Finish Useless $350 Million Structure

That’s because not only does the internet allow anyone to easily look up facts, it allows anyone to easily publish “facts.” It goes both ways.

Or ran into Occupy DC and shared some space.

I can hear the sound of millions of Republicans in Mississippi not complaining about a blatant waste of taxpayer funds for pork.

…or it can’t have any pudding.

How can you have any pudding if you don’t finish your Useless $350 Million Structure?

The remaining estimated cost was $57 million.

To paraphrase an old quote: “$57 million here, $57 million there, pretty soon it adds up to real money.”

Who is this “West” guy with principles? Adam West? The TV Batman? - He has principles though appearances on Simpson’s may call that into question (I kid).

Rush Limbaugh pwned by a funny TV weatherman

Did you mean Family Guy? Adam West was on the Simpsons at least once that I can recall, but he’s a semi-regular character on Family Guy.

:smack::smack:Yes, Family Guy, sometimes my memories just merge in random ways.

Yeah, politicians will force NASA to finish a structure it doesn’t need, and turn right around and slash NASA’s budget 'cause who needs stupid space stuff?

Chris Christie’s deputy chief of staff orchestrated the controversial closure of local access lanes to the congested George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, N.J., in the midst of a re-election campaign. The action prompted massive traffic gridlock in the city on its first day of school.

Weird apology up in here :
“What I’ve seen today for the first time is unacceptable,” Christie said in a statement. “I am outraged and deeply saddened to learn that not only was I misled by a member of my staff, but this completely inappropriate and unsanctioned conduct was made without my knowledge.”
Sooo… you’re not angry that he did it, just that he didn’t keep you in the loop. That’s the really fucked up bit that makes you angry and sad. Got it. Also by my count that’s no less than four denials of knowledge in two sentences. Doth the lady yadayada or what ?

How is making kids late for school supposed to intimidate Buono?

To be more precise, the shutdown was meant to “punish” Mark Sokolich, the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee, for endorsing the Democratic candidate for governor.

Even accepting that this was a rational motive, how in the world did they think that this shutdown would hurt Sokolich in any way at all? What harm did he suffer?
