Stupid Republican idea of the day

The fact that you continue to completely misrepresent my actual views with inflammatory bullshit like this proves that you are not taking the time to read my posts or think about them. You’re making the classic kneejerk reaction, and responding with your gut in charge instead of your brain.

More proof.

The generally cited pay gap is 23% (not 30% any more - my bad). That is the claim we are discussing. You don’t even seem to be aware of what you’re arguing for. That’s the gap you are defending.

Then you cited a 14% number as the correct number. I don’t know where you got it, but it appears the you are citing a source that accounts for non-discrimination variables to explain part of the 23% gap.

In other words, by citing that figure, it seems that you admit completely and totally that you AGREE WITH ME that some of the gap is explained by factors other than discrimination.

If you don’t think so, it’s because you are still huffing and puffing and hurling insults at me instead of reading and understanding what I actually said.

You’re not helping the movement. Not at all.

Oh for fuck’s sake. Every damn day I miss Chairman Muppet more and more.

Is this really what the RNC sees as a priority? Yes, dumb joke, unfair to nonracist/antimiscenegist member of the right wing. But damn, Preebs, “rightwing” != “every American right of center.”

Not enough to cry about in the SOTU? Your party posting lower numbers than the Prez? Members of your caucus threatening to throw reporters off a fucking balcony? Fuck, let’s gin up some bullshit controversy against an easy target!

Lather, Reince, repeat.

I saw what you did there. :stuck_out_tongue:

He has about two years to figure out excuses to keep the upcoming GOP clown show off every major media outlet; that’s one down…

MSNBC should respond by publishing all the right-wing crap that came out after that first commercial aired, followed up with the words “You first”.

Is this like Lesbians boycotting Playboy magazine?

Beer-swilling Hunter\Jocks boycotting Cosmopolitan?

Vegetarians boycotting Carl’s Jr?

I don’t thing MSNBC will see a numbers drop. If anything, it may help them.

He’s not calling for a boycott on watching the network, he’s imposing a boycott on *appearing *on the network.

I can see how hearing “The Republicans had no response to the allegations” over and over and over again can do nothing but bolster their cause.

Reince goes on her show, she’s gonna be sporting a new set of earrings. Tiny, shriveled, flesh colored pearls.

True, but on the other hand, the MSNBC shows that revolve around people shouting at each other are going to take a hit if they can’t book anyone to shout at.

Fewer shouting matches = more actual news…or more informercials. Either way, we come out ahead. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been listening to the audio podcast of Rachel Maddow’s show for the past few weeks as part of my work podcast routine and I remain astounded at how much she finds to say about very little news.

MSNBC has caved.

Eh, I dunno about “caved.” It was a stupid thing to say, however much I agree with it. They were right to apologize.

Republican candidate running for Congress in 4 different states

Honestly, this seems more clever than stupid, as blatantly opportunistic as it is.

Doesn’t seem politically clever. A Democratic opponent would make hay out of that opportunism.

Indeed. The tactic redefines “carpetbagger.”

Can I ‘like’ the message? Why doesn’t have vBulletin the option , if any , enabled my default?
