Stupid Republican idea of the day

Texas official defends recorded racist remarks: ‘Get those blacks off the school board’

“‘It’s not going to get any better until you get those blacks off the school board,’ Trube says on the recording. ‘She really turned black. She got on the school board with the rest of the blacks and they all just ganged up and that’s why the school system has gone to hell.’”

What a lovely woman.

On behalf of white women with bad hair, I’d like to say that she doesn’t speak for us!

Not anti-brown-people enough. His opponent was basically a concrete-wall-and-hardened-artillery-placements-on-the-border guy, so of course the modern GOP loved him more than Eric “Ratface” Cantor.

nm

thereby making him a natural born citizen of the United States and eligible to be President.

What about those rumours that he was actually born in Havana and is a sleeper agent for la Revolucion?

I started dancing in my chair when I heard Cantor was gone.

But finding out about how we was ousted scares me. This is a sign of the purification of the [del]Race[/del] “Culture” Party. Dark days are a-comin’.

So does this mean the next GOP House caucus will be all-Christian?

Havana? Stop your obfuscation. This is serious. He’s from Calgary, that’s Royal Steve Harper’s neck of the insane.

Alberta is the real menace, not a bunch of old democratic socialists in the Caribbean.

You may be right. Are you aware that the current mayor of Calgary is a leftist Muslim?

Was Kenya part of the Commonwealth when he was born there?

No, what this means is that Democrats finally got their act together and up off their asses and voted Cantor out. You don’t register with a political party in Virginia and there was a big push to get Democrats out to vote for Brat.

Cooter Has A Plan To Unseat Eric Cantor. It’s So Crazy It Just Might Work.

And work it did. Everyone’s talking about what a win this was for the tea party when in reality it was a huge victory for the Democrats. We may very well shock the nation again when we take this seat in November, which will happen if Cantor runs as a write-in candidate and he and Brat split the Republican votes.

Arkansas State Senator Jason Rapert (R-Jesusland) says that America would be better off emulating Saudi Arabia. Except we should be Christian, of course.

All right. Start by deciding who the corrupt, tentacular royals should be. My vote goes to the duck guys, but I’m only in it for the comedy.

I’m partial to Tealiban, myself.

I’m still not understanding why these derps chose Tea Party as a designation in the first place. Didn’t the Boston Tea Party want taxes on the tea? Overthrowing the OTHER (overseas) government? Bringing MORE US government against a bigger one? Do they root for Man U in football matches on the pitch?

It might take you hours, but it only takes the rest of us a minute or two to come up with a whole list of clever labels: Teanut Gallery, Teabrains, Teanile/Teanility…

Perfect example of a teahadist.

The caucus, the entire House, and, in fact, all of the Republican Congress is now “Judenfrei”. Not too many people of color either. I suppose they’re going to start working on ridding themselves of their female contingent next.

Yes and no. The spark for the Tea Party was the Tea Act, which exempted the East India Company from paying export taxes on tea sold in the colonies. The real problem there was that Americans were now buying their tea from the Dutch (because English tea was heretofore taxed) and making a killing reselling it in the colonies at a healthy mark-up. The prospect of cheap English tea flooding in once more threatened their profit margins in a big way.
Ostensibly however, the protest was marketed as griping against the protectionist tea tax itself, deemed INTOLERABLE (when it barely affected the colonies themselves while all but bankrupting the EIC and England).

Yup, corporations and their bottom line fucking with useful idiots and steering the course of the country since before day one. It’s really quite fitting that the Tea Party picked that symbol for itself. I half-suspect some Koch flunky picked it themselves for the delightful irony and have been mighty pleased with themselves ever since.

All over the media, but for the sake of completeness:

Failed Arizona GOP candidate Scott Fistler changes his name to Cesar Chavez and tries to run as a Democrat

Chavez…Cesar Chavez…there’a something familiar about that name. Maybe it will come to me eventually.
