Much of the give and take of the day was between Federalists and Anti-Federalists. Many of the anti-Federalists founders and statesmen of the day were against STATE, State, and state religions and wanted theists of all religions to be able to practice anywhere. That included the Hindoos, Jews, deists and [FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]Mahometans[/SIZE][/FONT] [period spellings]. The debate participants weren’t to hot on athiests and agnostics having any sort of protection however.

Both terms were used. “Mahomeddan” is entirely obsolete. But in several South Asian languages, “Mussalman” or “Musholman” is the standard term for “Muslim,” particularly in languages in which there is no [sl] consonant cluster.

A quick perusal of the “Club Type” labels on that list* seems to suggest that it is aimed at customers who wish to see naked women. There might be additional unaccounted-for establishments to accommodate the toe-tapping wide-stance component of the GOP clientele.
