Awesome Republican idea of the day: holding the 2016 convention in Cleveland.
I’ve got to start planning my bar hopping junket for 2016, and figure out what conservative figures I want to bump into and drunkenly accost.

Are there enough strip clubs in Cleveland for a Republican convention?
The heck with the Civil War Ammendments, Thomas should read about the “Gentlemen’s Agreement” which carried the Bill of Rights through the adoption process. http://scholarship.law.wm.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1207&context=wmborj is a well researched article on the adoption of the Bill of Rights and the religious arguments in the 1st Ammendment at the time. Much of the give and take of the day was between Federalists and Anti-Federalists. Many of the anti-Federalists founders and statesmen of the day were against STATE, State, and state religions and wanted theists of all religions to be able to practice anywhere. That included the Hindoos, Jews, deists and Mahometans [period spellings]. The debate participants weren’t to hot on athiests and agnostics having any sort of protection however.
Thomas is an [del]“originalist”[/del] Spawn of Scalia isn’t he?
Note that there are 1000’s of articles and opinions on what the founders thought/meant/wished/divined. Debates fill 1000’s more.
God gives rights. if you don’t have a God, how can you have rights?
This site lists 36.
I remember when the Republicans met in St. Paul, MN (the slumbering subconscious of the Twin Cities)…
They repaired to a local bar for relief from their august proceedings, to be entertained by a local rock band called Hookers and Blow. (Prostitutes and cocaine, if you don’t know…)
Its not irony is lost on these people, its that irony does not exist for these people.
You mean, “Mussulmen.”
(Fun fact: The muezzin’s call to prayer translates literally as “Cockles and mussels, alive, alive-o!”)
It seems kind of unfair, shallow, and junior high-ish to critique Perry on his glasses when there’s so much coming out of his mouth that actually qualifies as actual grade-A Republican stupidity.
Is that what Little Nell meant in Rose Tint My World? Was she some kind of bigot or something?
It was great when it all began
I was a regular Frankie fan
But it was over when he had the plan
To start a-workin’ on a Mussulman
You ! Yes, you ! STAND STILL, LADDIE !
Preacher! Leave those kids alone! All in all, you’re just another prick at the Mall!
In other words, no, not even close.
To be fair, by my count at least 11 of establishments are not in Cleveland or Cuyahoga County, so let’s say 25.

hurls brick at 'luci.
Both terms were used. “Mahomeddan” is entirely obsolete. But in several South Asian languages, “Mussalman” or “Musholman” is the standard term for “Muslim,” particularly in languages in which there is no [sl] consonant cluster.
Sorry, Pink Freudian slip…
I will turn this thread right around if you can’t behave.
A quick perusal of the “Club Type” labels on that list* seems to suggest that it is aimed at customers who wish to see naked women. There might be additional unaccounted-for establishments to accommodate the toe-tapping wide-stance component of the GOP clientele.
*Given some of the content, you might want to spoiler-tag the link, as I have done above.
It’s ok, we can all have a momentary lapse of reason
I’m serious! I will give you kids a saucerful of the backside of my hand!
