You should explain to the so called “non-bigots” that claim “Oh I don’t care if people want to be gay. I just don’t want it right there in my face. How am I going to explain that to my children?” how you talk to your children. Because they seem to really need your help.

Sadly, I can’t imagine trying to explain it to homophobic people, their issues seem to lie below the level of reason. I’m very proud of how accepting and tolerant my kids are. It probably helps that they have 2 uncles who are gay. I guess familiarity breeds acceptance if you give it half a chance.
