Stupid Republican idea of the day

Among all the batshittery in that article you quoted the one bit that makes sense.

The Republicans filing and acting on Articles of Impeachment over something so trivial and transparently politically motivated would be tremendously advantageous to the Democratic party. The Shodan’s and Adhers of the world, those either so rabidly partisan or so dim-witted that they’d cheer it on, are already giving as much as they can for party. But beyond the feebleminded, the move would alienate and disgust such a large swath of the voting public as to be a tremendous boon for the Democrats.

Obama should want this, and should lean over to Gohmert and whisper “I double-dog dare you.”

He certainly has dared them to sue him, so I can easily see him daring them to impeach him

Nearly Every Founding Fathers’ Quote Shared By A Likely Future GOP Congressman Is Fake

BuzzFeed writer, Andrew Kaczynski, debunked 9 supposed founding fathers quotes used by Hice.

Naturally, the transmogrified or totally fictional quotes support the radical right wing ideas of Hice.

Broun was a total nut job, looks like this guy is even worse.

Peter King: “Obama wearing a tan suit shows he has little interest in foreign policy.”

Could this be the begining of the commencement of the start of the return of the zoot suit riots?
The Big O would look good in one of those.
He could start a trend.

I’m thinking what he wants is latitude and executive discretion. So, how are they going to refuse to sign the permission slip after they’ve been beating up on him for being such a wimp? Plus, he has re-established the “go to Congress for approval” procedure. Twice!

If the other guy always raises when you check, his ass is yours…

I don’t see the problem. It was before 6PM and Labor Day isn’t until tomorrow. Was King raised in a barn?

Yes, but I’m given to understand that the previous player had declared Fiddlesticks on Putney Bridge, and we’re not in a leap year, making the play illegal.
Unless of course Mr. Obama plays by the Great Raj rules of 1834, which I understand enjoy some popularity in the colonies, but obviously in *that *case he would have had to circle the board widdershins in order to be allowed to play his turn on a Tuesday (unless his move was an advanced shunt, as allowed by Turnstyles’ Revisions), so the point is moot.

But, Kobal, darling, those shoes were to die for!

A Politico Exclusive: GOP poll of women: Party ‘stuck in past’

Read more: Exclusive: GOP poll of women: Party 'stuck in past' - POLITICO

Politico says it got a leaked copy of a recent poll by Crossroads GPS and American Action Network that shows that Republican issues just don’t resonate well with women voters.

So this topic made it all the way to my Facebook page and Republican friends asked “What would it take to get women to vote for us again?”

Most of the responses were from Republicans, or those who refuse to call themselves “the ‘R’ word” and style themselves as ‘conservatives.’ Of those folks, most posted thoughts along the lines of ‘both women and libtards are too stupid (or emotional) to make good decisions.’ One guy said “better looking” candidates could sway female voters and various permutations on ‘it’s not the message, it’s the package.’ One (self identified Republican) woman said that women “want to be treated like queens” and voting Republican would get them that.

Huh? What does that even mean? Do I want to sit on a throne all day?

I talked about voting rights/restrictions, economics, fiscal responsibility, wage stagnation and minimum wages, healthcare- costs and access, immigration, taxes, “government small enough to drown in a bathtub” silliness, and how 'less government regulation is at odds with things like abortion and gay marriage", and a number of other, local topics.

Of course, I was attacked, told I was wrong, and then had all my topics distilled down to this assessment: “I want Republicans to be kind,” and was told that kindness breeds dependency on Uncle Sugar.

I do think that if this is how the GOP and Republicans and conservatives listen to answers to questions they ask, then their attempt to attract women to the party will be hopeless. They asked my opinion and then proceeded to tell me how wrong I was on every issue.

Wow.

Fox News’ The Five: Sure wish Putin was our president, so we could attack preemptively like Bush used to do.

Gavin Newsome used to be married to her.

Boggles the mind.

General dick move – not o/b/o the GOP, but dude is a major GOP donor: The founder of Home Depot threatens to cut off charitable donations if the Pope doesn’t shut up about capitalism and income inequality.

Yeah - Let me know how that works out.

Koch-funded activists’ strategy to reach out to young people, women and Latinos: Something having to do with craft brewing.

You know that’s from December 2013, right?

Well, I would prefer he cut off the RCC because of its sheltering pedophiles, but it’s good news nevertheless.

I took his warning as implying all charities would be cut off.

Scott Brown suborns voter fraud. All in the name of public confidence in the results, mind you.

You’re reaching here.

Sound like it may have been said tongue in cheek.
