Stupid Republican idea of the day

Over in Kansas, which seems to be trying very hard to become the stupidest state in the union, a legislator has introduced a bill that would “require the governing boards of community colleges and state universities to implement policies prohibiting employees from providing titles when authoring or contributing to newspaper opinion columns, which includes letters, op-eds and editorials.” That’s if what they’re doing is writing about “lawmakers, the governor or other elected officials”.

Free speech, anyone?

Kansas has Florida and Texas envy.

Eric Bolling: No religion has ever killed anybody except for Islam.

The stupid, it’s coming in too fast man! Too fast! AAAAAAAAGH!"

Deus Lo Vultn’t ? Well, shit. *Now *you tell us. Talk about awkward.

In our Sunday School we got a few stories from the Old Testimonial. Samson, little David, stuff like that. Wasn’t till later I read the parts about smiting hip and thigh, and what happened to the Amorites and the Cannanites and the Sodomites and the Gomorrahnians.

Shit load of smiting going on. But it was all OK because God said so. He had already sorted them out, so…

Just so-so. It’d been better if stupid Republicans had allowed it to be legal back then.

NRA board member: Ban Texas public schools from paddling students, and I’ll just have to shoot them later.

Apparently, you were not smitten?

First, they came for the Moabites, but I was not a Moabite, so fuck 'em.

I consider myself to be very fortunate that my only exposure to this so-called news channel comes from links in this thread. Even P.T. Barnum didn’t see such blatant lying stupidity as a possibility.

From our good friends over at Crooks and Liars… 'Nuff sed.

John Stossel: There’s no need for FEMA, Wal-mart will save us all in case of a disaster.

And they have the poison-gas death-trailers for 30% off this week!

Christianity is the reason we don’t have slavery in the world today

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt said that Obama’s remarks were “completely inappropriate” because there were many evangelical Christians at the National Prayer Breakfast. “Know your audience,” she recommended. “No one expected the Inquisition to be mentioned at the National Prayer Breakfast.”

Well, yeah. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

I would hope that the audience of the President of the United States, at ANY public function, would be the people of the United States, not just a bunch of evangelical Christianists present in the room.

Now they know how I felt, when he came out against drowning kittens.

Exactly. David bought his wife with DONATED Philistine foreskins.
