I love how Rapert doubles down when criticized, and says that anyone who disagrees with his insane plan to nuke areas in our allies’ countries … must therefore love the terrorists.
Like that’s basically how things boil down at the moment. We need to either toss nukes around the middle east willy-nilly, OR, we must join ISIS and start chopping us some heads.
This is an elected official. Presumably he is self aware enough to get dressed himself, and actually sit in an office without soiling his pants… How on earth can anyone come up with crap like that? Seriously? I can imagine that kind of nonsense coming out of a drunk at a bar - someone with mental health and substance abuse issues or something. A guy who is ranting and raving and then falls down and lies in a puddle of his own vomit.
I know it’s all fun to toss the insults, and I do my fair share…
But in all seriousness… We really do need to understand these people. How on earth can someone like this actually process the information and come up with a statement like that?
He’s not a dysfunctional drunk. Seriously. Not to belabor the point, but he’s AN ELECTED OFFICIAL at the state level. A SENATOR.
I don’t get it. I seriously don’t understand how he could even begin to think that exploding a nuclear device in a friendly country could ever be a good idea. Can someone please explain to me what is going on with him?
He probably isn’t actually that stupid, but the only people who will vote for him are, so he says the kind of stuff they like to hear. Intelligent people wouldn’t vote for him anyway, so what has he got to lose? The Republicans’ race to the bottom is wonderfully “democratic,” in that it provides representation even for the stupidest of the citizenry. No elitism there, but a glorious populism. They should just call it the imbecile party and stop pretending.
Back in 2012, Jason Rapert wanted a US constitutional amendment requiring approval of the state legislatures before the federal government could raise the debt ceiling.
Sun Media and the various Sun dailies’ sites are up again. I wonder if the interruption might have had something to do with pulling out Sun News links?
I prefer the explanation that he’s simply pandering to the stupid and the hateful to get votes.
The alternatives are too awful to contemplate; He actually is so stupid that he does not understand that his nuclear “solution” would lead to hundreds of thousands or millions of horrible painful deaths among innocent people;
Or he’s so evil that he knows this and does not care, because they are “other”.
Fifteen years ago my kids were busy taking AP courses. One managed nine and got into Chicago and was able to graduate from there in three years, saving me a cartload of money.
I suspect more savvy parents in Oklahoma (if they haven’t all fled due to the spike in earthquakes in the state) will be contacting their legislators and telling them why banning AP courses is a bad idea.
(Probably a good idea for the GOP since education is bad for them.)
