When kids ask me to spell words that I think they could have taken a shot at, I do this one:
"How do you spell “cation”?
“c-a-t-i-x-q-p-t-r-z”
They get all ruffled because “You’re the teacher!!!”

We Used to have a running bet each week on who could get the best “Dumb Question”.

YOU! YOU can help me! I bought a card game recently, lot of fun, won’t go into details. One of the cards is titled “Starved in a Storm,” and some text at the bottom says, “Too bad you didn’t leave the cake out in the rain.” I have no idea what this means, nor do any of my friends. But apparently you do! Please help.

It’s from a song, MacArthur Park. Try this link for a little more insight into some deeply impenetrable lyrics. Originally performed by Richard Harris, it also was made into a disco version (God-awful, IMHO) in the late 70’s.
Great scene. Four wheelbarrows of [Emo Phillips]Cole slaw[/Emo Phillips]
Okay, maybe not on par with the rest of you, but as a training manager I got a call from one of our trainers saying that we needed an Index in the WordPerfect manual. I had to explain it had one, but, see, we had put it in the back of the manual.

I gotta tell you, I can’t believe the guy was serious.
I say things like this all the time just to get a laugh.
Like the other day at the supermarket checkout, I took out a five dollar bill and started running it through the credit card reader over and over again, hoping it would finally register. I kept my best concerned face on the whole time, really playing it up. “Why isn’t it working?”
I’m sure it was the talk of the breakroom that afternoon.
I must amend my earlier statement about horses in movies.
Although there are monitors, accidents do happen.
Sorry for continuing the hijack, but was it Apples to Apples? Kinda sounds like it.
During the gawd-awful movie “Troy” just as the Trojan Horse appeared on screen, my friend leaned over to me and excitedly asked, “Is that a trick!?”
I think it was one of the best moments of my life.
No, though I’m a HUGE A2A fan. It’s called “Gloom.” A card game in the style of Edward Gorey.
Sounds cool. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it (we’ve got a great game store in town).
