You can change that in Preferences >> Notifications.
Heh, I was just about to say hold on, some of the posts I’ve read don’t show me watching. Then I remembered that I changed that setting this morning. Threads I read yesterday show me watching and those today show Normal.
The “Unread” option in the hamburger menu is the best solution I’ve heard of - it’s pretty much the old list that used to show up in the UCP.
