Yes, I went to camp one summer just before going into 7th grade at the Youth Camp that our city ran at a 600+ acre park that the city owns. It was for 2 wks, the parents came up on the mid Sunday. We had to wait in a circle area for the parents to climb up the hill. I sat and sat as other campers went off with their parents, was starting to question whether they were coming and finally there they were; JOY. We went to swim at the beach on weekdays, had riflery, archery, crafts, and other activities but those were the ones that stood out. When I was in college, I worked at that Camp for 2 summers. I loved crafts so much that I chose that as my program area when I was a counselor.
Sent our daughter to a Girl Scout camp when she was about the same age, well maybe a little younger because by the time she was going into 7th grade, she was on a swim team and practicing every weekday with meets on the weekend.
Yes, thank you, I’m about 90% now. Had the rest of the soup for breakfast. Thought and thought about what could have caused the intestinal upset and couldn’t come up with anything yesterday. But this morning as I reached for a bagel, it dawned on me that it likely was the cream cheese that had been in the frig for a looong time. So I had butter on bagel this morning and threw out the cream cheese.
