Super Bowl XLIV: Indianapolis Colts v. New Orleans Saints (2/7/2010)

Good for the Saints. I’m thrilled for the city, I’m happy for Drew Brees, and it’s nice to see a new team get the Lombardi trophey.

Aints no more!

WTF with calling a run on 3rd down?

Congratulations to the Saints. I was born in Louisiana, and have always had a soft spot for the Saints. It’s great for that city.

It occurred to me that I missed the Tebow ad.

Congrats, New Orleans. Well played.

 Bye bye “Ain’ts”!

A great night for the Crescent City. May Fortuna continue to smile upon her.

Congratulations, New Orleans fans. Enjoy the party, it was well earned.

Call it karma, call it hubris, call it whatever you want to, but the Quitters threw away the chance at a perfect season and then they quite literally threw away the Super Bowl.

Suck it, Caldwell. Suck it, Polian. Take it all. Enjoy your tanker truck full of tears. They’ll help you wash the bitter taste down.

Looks like the stock market should be good this year.

I love it. Manning is the goat of the game.

It was a pretty bad pick, as soon as the Saints didn’t get screwed up by the pre-snap motion, the coverage was on the inside the entire way. At best that’s an incompletion - it never got anywhere close to Wayne.

Loved seeing the Saints win, loved seeing Manning play shaky late, won a good bit of money because I was the only person willing to cover the Saints side of bets at work this week. Got some great point spreads and I didn’t even end up needing them. Congrats New Orleans!

The whole game turned on that onside kick to start the second half. That was brilliant, and turned the game around for the Saints.

I think the 3 points at the end of the half was a lot more vital.

Such a hater. Sad really.

That inside run had been working great all night. The Saints D finally managed to stuff it.

Wish I was on Bourbon tonight. I’ve only ever been there once and it was an ordinary Saturday night. Can’t imagine what it’s like there right now.

AWESOME!

Sean Peyton has balls the size of grapefruit. Nobody saw that onside kick coming. A pick-6 to seal the win was absolutely perfect. The Saints have played ball hawking defense all year long, and came up huge in the Super Bowl.

There is joy in Who Dat Nation tonight.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS WIN THE SUPER BEAUXL!

The season’s over. I just had to cleanse the last of it out of my system. I’m done now.

Sean Payton turns the knife in his acceptance speech. Very subtle!

This looks somewhat prophetic now…
