Supernatural 4/12: Death Takes a Holiday

I was skeptical when I heard that Sam and Dean were going to become ghosts and wander the spirit world in this episode, but I think they did a good enough job of making it seem plausible (for their universe) and not overly silly. It helped that the blue filter somehow made them look *even more *attractive. It also helped that the storyline was genuinely sad – I felt for that poor little ghost boy who didn’t want to leave his mother, and I’m gonna miss Pamela, if only because she’s the only female character on this show who fans actually like. Not that I don’t love the sausage fest, but I’m pretty tired of every SPN fan hating on anyone who comes within fifty feet of Sam and Dean and has a vagina.

Sam is now getting Cease and Desist orders from every character on the show not named Ruby. So why hasn’t he stopped (because we know he’s not gonna)? Are the powers an addiction? Is he just power hungry? Losing his humanity? I want to explore that next!

ETA: So the main concern with casting Alistar is the actor’s ability to do an annoying Marlin Brando impression? Okay, good to know.

I’m apparently one of the few hetero males that really enjoys this show, or at least one of the few that posts about it. I certainly appreciate the parade of hotties that Sam and Dean encounter each week, and I think Ruby is hot. Nothing like a bad girl with a heart of…uh, something.

Gotta be the demon blood in him. Yellow-eyes’ end game had to anticipate that Sam wouldn’t be able to keep that hunger for power in check, and eventually somehow it’s going to be Sam that will be the key to breaking the last seal.

I was pretty sick that night and didn’t get to watch the last 20 minutes or so. What did they end up doing with Alistair?

Oh, it’s nice to have my show back, even with what happened to Pamela.

viva, Castiel showed up and zapped Alistair with lightning. It was all a setup to get Sam and Dean into town to trap Alistair.
