I had to meet **FCD **at the garage after work today - his brakes are making a noise - pretty sure it’s just an adjustment issue - and there’s something stuck in his a/c fan. So he gets my car tomorrow and I’ll drive the van. Which is fine - the van needs to be driven once in a while anyway.
I’ve lost my camera battery charger. Translation - someone “cleaned” it up and who knows where it was put away. grrrrrrrr So tomorrow, I’ll take pics of the afghans as well as the new puglet, who will be picked up about the time I’m leaving the office.
Horrible night last night. I had some serious acid reflux going - thank goodness for antacids. My stomach was also acting up, so I was in and out of the bathroom - I don’t know if I got 2 consecutive hours of sleep. <yawn>
My sweetie and I are going out to supper - we’re trying a new Mexican place. Other than that, just another night in paradise.
We just lost our battery charger too. I went to take garden pics last night and no fresh batters. Grrrr.
Assessment of new Messican place - OK. Not great, not horrid. Definitely not as good as Salsa’s.
I got the Fiesta Shrimp (the restaurant is called Fiesta, so I’m guessing this is their invention.) It was sauteed zucchini, some other squash, onions, and shrimp served over rice with a cheese sauce. Rather tasty, and a decent sized portion. **FCD **got the beef chimichanga platter - he wasn’t too impressed. And it was a bit more expensive than Salsa’s. Dunno if we’ll go there again.
That’s all I’ve got. Still don’t know what happened to the battery charger. If it’s in the green bedroom, we’ll never find it…
We’s stuffded. After dindin dip in the pool to commence shortly. Oh and there’s a bottle of champagne chillin’ for a little later on…

I’m being good again today. I woke up really early (not by choice - just couldn’t sleep) and had breakfast with my mom. Then I went to bed until 11. :o But then me and my dad went to taijitsu, I dropped stuff at the thrift store and went to the storage unit. I have three loads of laundry almost done. And I’m about to go get working again. And we’re going to taijitsu again tonight.
I’m getting ready for Renaissance Faire. I hope it’s not as hot there as it is here. … Doesn’t look like it’s supposed to be. It might be really windy though. I hope not - the winds tore up our site last year.
Oh, and I think I’ve come up with a name for my website. Maybe. Doesn’t onlylydean.com or uniquelylydean.com sound too twee?
Mom is home. I guess they’ve decided that it is two of her medicines that is causing the problem. The family doctor had already sort of decided this earlier this week and he had already taken her off of them but she was much sicker today than before and the ER doctor confirmed this finding. Unfortunately, one of the drugs was for arthritis and she can immediately feel the effects of not taking it. Hopefully they’ll find something new that she can take sooner rather than later.
Well, I made a spoon ring and… it was extremely difficult to do. I’m thinking there must be an easier way and am open to suggestions. (Ahem, kopek). I posted the picture on fb. It’s a very large ring, but I was just focusing on technique and used a piece of silverware that I have alot of that particular pattern.
StickyBuns at least the problem is known. Here’s hopin’ they find another arthritis med for your mom soon.
It’s nice to just sit around, sip champagne and chill with the one you love.

Morning all. I am at irk, and I was late getting here because some stoopit train had to break down on the line between the city centre and the university, so after 20mins of being promised trains, I gave up and caught the bus. That dropped me at the bottom end of campus so I then had to walk to my office, all uphill too, in my weakened condition. I even had to stop on the way for a rest 'cos I was all out of puff.
But it’s Firday, and that’s a good thing! I got an email from the Dope this morning telling me they wanted money, so I re-upped and that means you’re stuck with me for another 12 months. Woo and hoo.
We’re off out for ‘im indoors’ birthday drinks tomorrow night, should be fun as we’ll be meeting up with some friends we’ve not seen for a while. Including the one who’s involved in the adulterous affair…hope she doesn’t think bringing that guy along is any kind of good idea.

Today was a chance to sleep in, since I don’t have to be at work till 10. Naturally, I was up before 5 for Scruffy. Stoopit dog. I tried to fall back to sleep, but that didn’t happen, especially when said stoopit dog came back and barked again. So both critters have been out, they’ve been fed, and the cats’ box is clean. I’m trying to decide what to do before work - should I mow the ditch or sort out the papers on the desk?
Well, sorting the papers will get me some money when I send in some receipts for refunds, soooooo…
It’s Firday, but I still get to work tomorrow, so keep your celebrations down out of respect… 
Oh dear God. Why in the hell didn’t I go to bed at a decent hour? :dubious: My head is killing me and it’s nobody’s fault but my own. I may have to take a nap before heading to TVLand otherwise I might not make it. Ugh. Too bad I don’t drink coffee.
