How, how how can they stand to live on an island with Jon?
Do ya think Rupert will show them what a waste of space their so-called leader is?
That was fun! The first Survivor I’ve watched from beginning to end.
Re Osten. He’s his own worst enemy. He’s obviously afraid of water, something I can relate to. Why didn’t he just dig up something out of the sand? And was it me, or did the producers bury Drake’s water-line puzzle piece way farther down than Morgan’s?
So Morgan DID have the spear the whole time. ARGH!
This is the first season I have watched, and I havn’t all of the episodes this season.
But it seems to me Rupert is in a very good position. He missed the vote, so he hasn’t really shown his hand. He will miss the bitch and betrayal session, so he won’t even get a chance to say anything in the heat of the moment to alienate anybody, like all the others probably will. Since he didn’t participate in the wrestling his hands are clean of any thoughts that he threw it. Plus he gets a chance to endear himself to the other side a bit. In addition I just like the guy, he is exactly like most of the people who are my best friends and I hang out with
My thoughts exactly BG. I wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t the end of Drake’s reign. Rupert will show them how to do the advanced things he has learned, like eating and sleeping. I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a big comeback next episode.
There are some people on Survivor that I take such glee who eventually get the boot. Susan from Season 1, Gerri from Season 2 and Brooklyn Rob from Season 4. None of them match the obnoxiousness of Jon in my opinion. I can’t wait until the tide turns on this guy and sweeps him down that darkened stairway. I hope he’s flabbergasted when it happens too.
In addition to winning immunity, the winning team got a “special reward”. The reward was that they would get to choose one member from the other tribe to live with them and compete with them at the next reward challenge. They chose Rupert.
I wish we could’ve seen Ruperts reaction when he saw the condition of the Morgan camp.
Why did Osten wear the mask on his head instead of his face, knowing he’s a poor swimmer? For that matter, why’d he not go for a puzzle piece in the sand? He’s such a drama queen.
The ‘stupidest remark of the episode’ reward goes to: Shawn. When Rupert was making his new skirt and Shawn asked him if he was going to put slots on the sides.
Speaking of skirt slots, Tijuana needs to make some so she doesn’t have to pull her skirt up to her waist during challenges.
I was so hoping that the little bonus reward was two weeks in a luxury hotel or something. Drake was stupid to throw the challenge, and I was hoping that they’d pay for it more.
Drake will pay dearly for losing the IC. Rupert will show Morgan how to be actually competitive. In the preview for next week’s show they showed Ryan-O saying “Rupert is the best thing to happen to this tribe.” Indeed.
That was a crappy “treasure.” Luckily, there was chocolate in it.
It does seem like Jon is a wannabe Rob. But I really liked Rob. He was the best part of last season. I don’t like Jon. He is just annoying.
Jon is really a piece of work. He shows up for TC basically stinking drunk.
Probst: Are you loaded?
Jon: well, um, yeah. (chortle)
Priceless.
The editing that showed him looking utterly trashed while saying he was a “kingmaker” indicates (at least for me) that a) he’s gone in 1-3 episodes, or b) he’ll win. a) is my bet, but we’ll see.
I hated seeing the previews for next week where the Morgans say getting Rupert was the best thing that ever happened to them (enjoy it while it lasts, you sorry SOB’s!).
Great episode all around, though. I loved seeing the sorry Morgans lose again and especially that creampuff Osten was the goat once again. He’s quickly becoming the sorriest player ever to last this long. What a wuss. And why hasn’t anyone on Morgan realized yet what a sad excuse for a “leader” Andrew is?
I was really worried tonight that Christa would be gone. She sounds goofy, but I fell in love when she called Shawn a puss. Considering what a huge risk throwing the IC was, I’m glad it worked out and Burton got the boot instead. I was somewhat worried when the previews show the Drake gang worrying that Rupe will talk too much at Morgan (how dare they doubt him!), but I’m sure it’s more deceptive editing to make us expect the worst.
I almost died laughing at Jon’s cockiness tonight. “Puppet Master!” How can someone be so deluded?
Did anyone else notice how obvious it is that Probst can’t stand Jon? He kept giving Jon “that look” whenever Jon answered his questions. I think the promo about someone inebriated making a scene at TC is so far the most exaggerated teaser I’ve seen. I kept waiting for Jon to puke or start a fight or something.
I agree, too, that Rupert will enjoy a best of both worlds circumstance now that he’s spending a couple of days with Morgan. His post-merger status will be sealed; no one will dislike or distrust him.
Yep, I saw that, too. But of course now I’ve forgotten exactly how the votes went down. Burton and who else voted for Christa? And everyone else voted for Burton.
It was very childish of the little Junior High trio (Burton, Shawn and Michelle) to keep teasing Rupert for wearing a skirt. Hey, at least he’s comfortable and now he has something clean.
And yes, Morgan does have a fishing spear. And Rupert shows them how to use it. Obviously, he’s not gonna go hungry while at their camp. I wonder if he helps them build a better shelter.
That shot of Andrew and Ryan going off to fish with the machete was really pathetic. What were they going to do, hack it do death?
I was thinking the same as Glory; I think depending on which tribe won, the “special reward” may have been different. If Drake had won, how would it have benefited them to have a Morgan member live with them?
Yeah, Probst was giving Jon some very bad looks. It was hilarious. I have never seen anyone so obnoxious as Jon. “Puppet master?” I fart in your genereal direction.
Was Burt blindsided or what?
I think that Morgan will look at Dread Pirate Hagrid as some sort of saviour when he comes over there and shows them that yes, if you get up off your ass and do something, you, too can be a real tribe. I can’t wait to see what his reaction to their camp is.
The looks on Drakes faces when Morgan took Dread Pirate Hagrid were priceless. They knew they screwed up by throwing the challenge. But someone (I think it was Burt) was right in that it’s a double edged sword. Winning is great, but not being able to get rid of the dead weight sucks.
I was worried that Christa might go, too. I did not see any reason for them to want her out. She knows that she’s a marked woman now and I wouldn’t be surprised if she starts playing the game a little harder now. I think that the claws are going to start to come out in Drake.
They brought a fish spear too. They threw in around on the beach in frustration after those morons got lost.
I am not sure what was stupider, throwing immunity or voting out one of your strongest members before the merge. Is Hagred dumb enough to show the other tribe how to get food? While goodwill is nice, they will vote him out in a second if they can. Rupert’s a good guy, but that’s a very stupid move by him.
I was surprised Burton got dumped by so many votes. But that means to me that ole Jon might not even make past 8-9th, as nobody really likes nor trusts him. Still, the moment he gets voted out will be priceless.
