should!!!:smack: :smack: :smack:
He did indeed wear that same stupid shirt, I’m afraid.
I think the sworn enemy thing was Jon vs Sandra. They had a heated argument at the beginning of the episode, where Sandra is painting Jon as the mastermind behind all the votes. She was trying to sway T and Darrah to not trust him.
Somehow though, Sandra and Jon made up, because they voted the same way to vote T off. But it might be that they hate each other as Burton said it well, you can hate someones guts and not trust them but if you can get far with them and have the same goals you’re an alliance. Or something similar to that. You might want to check www.realitynewsonline.com for a full recap of the episode.
I suppose that during the final show when he gets a chance to talk and during the reunion show, Rupurt will whine about how he did so much for the tribe but was stabbed in the back. The theme for the show was pirates and I would think pirates had a habit of doing that to each other.
I’ve thought about that too. If he doesn’t win the million dollars (and I pray he won’t), would you feel comfortable doing business with someone so devious? Also, he has no girlfriend, so how many women will line up to date a man who’d fake his grandmother’s death just to improve his chances at winning a million dollars? And I can’t see his parents being too thrilled about the big lie, unless they’re just used to his behavior.
He didn’t do it to hang out with his buddy, he did it to humanize himself in the eyes of the jury, who he knew in advance would hate his guts by now. Without a fast image makeover, he knows the best he can hope for is the runner up prize of $100K.
I think he was just very emotional when he made his exit speech. Besides, by the time Rupert appears at the Survivor: Pearl Islands reunion, he will have just returned from the All Star Survivor, a distinction only he among the Pearl Islands castaways can claim. I think Rupe will be his old jolly self.

[li]The great lie continues to affect the decisions of castaways who believed Jon when he swore on his grandmother’s grave.[/li][li]A luxurious strategy session enjoyed spa-style, with food, massages, showers and privacy, is spoiled by one castaway. Sounds damn good!
I’ll bet Jon took the phone off the hook Wednesday night.
Jon was taking a risk. This was the first time the person who won a visit from a friend or family member was isolated from the rest of the players. In all past cases, everyone got to spend at least part of the day and night with the guest. I have to wonder if “Dude” could have kept up the pretense over the course of several hours. If he had cracked and made the others suspicious it would have hugely backfired on Jon.
I wondered about that too. I wonder if Burnett liked what Jon did and decided to aid him to see if the survivors could figure it out on their own without Fairplay’s buddy blowing it. He’s just wicked enough to do something like that and since there was absolutely nothing set up for the rest of the players on the other beach, it’s not like he needed time to prepare it. He probably called Probst on a cell phone or Nextel two way and told him the rest were going to a different beach.
Forget that - this is one time I acually want to watch the reunion show, just to see what the others have to say to Jon about the Grandma Gambit!
