Heidi’s going to have some ‘xplainin’ to do when she gets back to her gym class. “Ms Heidi, the boys say you’re into threesomes. Whatsa threesome?”
And Rob may be a jerk, but his Casey Kasem/Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye was pretty darn funny.

I think it was not good strategy to vote off Roger. He was a low-hanging fruit, that could be plucked pretty much at leisure.
I think Deena should have reasoned this way:
If the group were to vote out Dave, it might be plausible that Rob, Alex and/or Matt could tell Roger that they were worried about Dave winning individual immunities, and that next week they would vote out a woman. Roger would have been as clueless as always and bought it hook, line and sinker. The group could then vote out Roger after that.
Now Roger might have won immunity next week, and the week after that, but you really need worry about that only when there Dave and Butch are gone (no other good substitutes). I think it unlikely R will win many immunities, so I view him as being always in reserve.
As it stands, the cat is out of the bag. Butch and Dave will now scramble to try and join up with a majority. I think Alex and Matt can see that Deena is a leader and hence a threat. Thus I think both of them are a risk to go back with Dave and Butch. Were I D or B I would also whisper in the ear of Jenna or Heidi to come over and get rid of Deena the leader.
Granted, this is somewhat of a long-shot. I think what will actually happend is that D and B will be the next 2, but I think some advantage should have been taken of the fact that Roger was so clueless. But then again, I don’t have to spend 3 more days in a rainforest with him
I don’t think Heidi has any intention of going back to gym class. I think she’s gonna pursue a career as a supastah!
Do we know whether she has tenure?
Listen, I’m married to a middle school teacher. I have no illusions about their purity. But good middle school teachers know that they are dealing with very impressionable and very hormonal kids. And they know to be on good behavior–like not making sexist comments or sexy comments or stripping for peanut butter.
A lot of decisions are made or not made by the school districts in order to quell parental freak-outs. If Heidi’s school district has to choose between keeping Heidi and therefore dealing with pissed off parents, and canning Heidi, what do you think they’re going to choose? It’s easy enough to hire another gym teacher.
Doesn’t look like it. Next weeks is called “Sleeping With The Enemy” and we were shown a preview for it at the end of last night’s ep.
I hope they have given up on the recap. idea. It’s a waste, unless they ran it and then ran a new ep. the same night.
I think that’s the key. His obnoxious behavior outweighed any other considerations.
Remember that this was their last opportunity to eliminate Roger completely. Every person voted off from now on will be on the jury. So the women wanted to eliminate Roger because they felt there was no chance of him voting for them against a man if they made the final two. Assuming they had an accurate opinion of Roger’s misogyny, their plan was a good one.
One heck of a long shot. Dave and Butch are now on the wrong side of a 7-2 split. They’d have to convince three people to defect from the winning team to the losing one to regain the majority.
D&B’s strategy at this point has to consist of the following: throw the other guy to the wolves to avoid getting voted off first, suck up to the alliance (Dave apparently plans to throw himself on that grenade), and hope that their position is so apparently hopeless that they get written off as threats and the alliance starts feuding amongst itself.
She’s pretty young, so I’d say no on the tenure. Do middle school teachers even get tenure? Is she at a public school or private school?
Any news on how her school administrators have reacted to her appearance so far?
I mean, what with her sexist comments about young girls vs. old women (“They’re jealous of our bodies”), spelling “Jeanne” wrong (a teacher should know how to spell various names!), the Threesome talk, and now the utterly pointless stripping for peanut butter and Oreos.
OMG. Is Rob that stupid? And the other males who voted with him against Roger? Can’t he/they do even simple math?
Deena & the girls are now going to vote off the men, one by one, barring some wierd twist. Sure Rob will be the “last man standing”, but he just voted in such a way that he KNOWS that no MATTER WHAT, he will not win the Million$. If he voted “men all the way”, he’d have a chance, albiet a slim one, of winning. Sure, Roger was obnoxious- so make him the first male voted off.
Unless he & the other guys now turn on the girls like starving piranha, and relentlessly vote off girls 100%- all the guys are so much dead meat.
Was she even teaching this school year? If Survivor: Amazon was shot last fall, it would have been during the school year. Heidi couldn’t have been absent from work for 42 days, could she?
Yeah, sure. Around here, all the public schoolteachers get tenure on the first day of their fourth year. After that, they can pretty much only be fired for one of two reasons:
She could have been granted a sabbatical. It would be easier for her to take a sabbatical than a teacher in an “academic” subject. Butch probably took a sabbatical, too.
I’m not one to nitpick grammar and spelling, but you’ve made a mistake. The correct spelling here is J-A-C-K-A-S-S.
Christy is sometimes faking her body language, and sometimes not. You know when she acts too happy, dancing around and stuff? I think that’s fake. I do that sometimes too. 'Course, I could be completely and totally wrong. But she seems like a genuinely happy person most of the time, anyway.
Roger was idiotic to jump off without even a ‘temptation.’
I do not like Deena at all. Does she not realize that she is being just as bad as she perceives the guys to be?
Oh, a question. What is a ‘Children’s Adventure Guide for the Deaf’? What do they do? And I had thought Christy didn’t know ASL. Oh wait. CBS says she went to Gallaudet…oops.
Just guessing here, but I suppose she leads outdoor trips for deaf children. She could be a whitewater guide in the summer and a ski instructor in the winter, or some such.
Christie works here.
