Exactly. And for this very reason, last night was my last night wasting another moment on Snorevivor this season. The only thing that will get me to tune back in is if I read here that Rob and Amber have been voted off. Otherwise, I refuse to let myself be angered and frustrated watching a bunch of stupid freaking idiots allowing themselves to be played by that mysogynist creep.
I figured that she was adopted. Not that it matters, but I noticed that too.
These shows always get to me. It’s blatant manipulation, but I get teary every time. Damn.
Shayna, I couldn’t agree more. He is a creep, and the season has been horribly frustrating, because while I think he’s a good player, I can not root for him on general principles. Of course, I’ll keep watching, because: (1) there’s always the possibility that someone will do something to wipe the smirk off of his face at some point, however dim; and (2) reality television owns my entire household.
I thought adoption as well, until I looked a little more closely at her mother. They’re nearly IDENTICAL, just different skin tones (and hair).
Count me in as well with the teary-eyedness. And to boot, I flipped channels right when the show was over and it was the final scene of The Rookie. Damn.
What did Shii Ann screw up in her first go around that people are reffering to?
Ahh, poor, misguided Shii Ann. Hers is a tale of woe and stupidity. Mostly the latter.
Shii Ann was originally featured on Survivor: Thailand. Here is the summary as posted on CBS.com, since I can’t summarize it any better:
As others have said, the look on Shii Ann’s face when Jeff said, “I never said anything about a merge,” was priceless. She knew how screwed she was.
And there you have it. Assumptive gaming led to her downfall. I believe the same thing will lead to her end this time as well. Not that it really matters.
She’s no less stupid this time around, but at least she is trying to stay under the radar as much as possible, and she is keeping her mouth shut. Well, most of the time, anyway. Although, from the previews of next week, it looks like that will end soon …
I agree completely. I figured Lex should have tried this last episode. If it were me, I’d stand up in the middle of Tribal Council and ask, “Show of hands. Is there anyone here that Rob hasn’t promised to take into the final four? Do the math people.”
That said, Rob is making himself a target. Those people who consider him a genius despite this might want to go reread the similar comments that were being made about Richard Hatch a few weeks back. Being obnoxious and arrogant is not a game winning strategy.
My guess on Rob’s strategy is that he plans on taking Amber into the final two. He’ll try to play the “you hate me but I’m a great player” line but even if that fails, he’ll get $100,000 and a crack at Amber’s million. So the biggest factor is his plans right now is to continue winning immunity, protecting his woman, making sure nobody forms a rebel alliance, and bringing somebody he figures he can beat into the final three endurance challenge. So maybe he really is telling Alecia the truth about taking her all the way (although personally I’d see Jenna as a safer bet).
I believe one of her daughters is deaf or partially deaf. She is also missing one hand, poor thing.
And wouldn’t it be great if Amber was just playing him? If Rob makes it to the final two with Amber I would love to see her win and then dump his ass.
I realize you are pretty knowledgeable about Survivor, misstee, but I feel I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you:
Wishing for Amber Brkich to win Survivor: All-Stars is the little-seen Eighth Sign of the Apocalypse.
Please turn in your Survivor street cred.
NO NO NO NO
I didn’t mean I wanted Amber to win, I meant that if it came down to Amber and Rob, I prefer it to be her. I loathe Rob.
I really wanted Colby to win.
Now I would settle for Rupert or Alicia.
Thanks Ripley2004, I didn’t know and was touched to seem them signing as they sang in their video to her.
