It is broadcast on CBS.
So disgusting. I had to close my eyes!
I have an odd feeling that Emily is going to win the whole enchilada.
In the first few episodes her behavior aroused so much negativity, I wonder if she received a “winner’s edit” in those early scenes in order to shock us all when it all goes down.
mmm
I just re-watched episode #1 and Emily’s first confession was that she rather be voted out first if she is not going to win the game.
Remember Cirie’s first season? She was scared to death of leaves and I thought she would be voted out at the first opportunity. She finished 4th.
Remember Aubry’s first season? She had a scary panic attack and I though she would be voted out at the first opportunity. She finished 2nd to Michelle Fitzgerald.
I got the same thoughts about Emily. At this point I would be surprised if she is not one of the finalists.
Despite being an engineer and very good with numbers, I would have never solved that math puzzle after being Food and Sleep Deprived for a couple of weeks. Good for Austin for solving it.
Yeah. That bugged me too. Up 'til then I was seeing Drew as a remarkably humble guy for someone introduced to us as “ivy league student.” But no, there was all the entitlement one expects from the stereotype.
Speaking of Drew, I think he just blew his best shot at winning an IC. Yeah, his “boy’s night” posing made his lack of muscles painfully obvious, but he had to hold up so much less weight!
I still don’t see it. Yes, she seems to be carrying much less negativity than she did at the start. She did have something to do with Bruce not playing his idol (though not the only factor), and she’s won one challenge (reward, not immunity). Kudos on her growth.
But she hasn’t once been mentioned as a voting target since the merge. There’s a reason for that: nobody takes her seriously as a threat. I agree she will probably get to Final TC, but I can’t imagine any configuration of three players in which she wins.
Who knows, maybe she’ll make a series of brilliant moves and control everything from here on out. Anything less than that, I don’t think she has the votes.
I can’t believe Bruce fell for that! I just can’t.
A victim of his own hubris.
I’m not seeing it either. And she’s certainly no Aubry, imho. Like others, I appreciate that she was able to recognize her difficulties and adjust her posture. I didn’t like her at first but I’ve come around. I still don’t see her getting votes if she makes it to the final.
Oh I can. He was making too much of a show that he was going to play his idol. Regardless of what he thought was going to happen, I think he thought by bragging about staying in, he was pulling a fast one on everybody.
And is it bugging anyone else that Jake keeps being a target? What’s the thinking? He’s done nothing but hang by the skin of his teeth, there’s no way he would win the million. He’s a shield. And he would be one less worry at final. I dislike short-sided thinking and voting. “Let’s keep the strong players and vote out the weak ones!”
Makes absolutely no sense. If I were one of the remaining players, I would team up with Emily and Jake.
thats because of the alliances, the weaker bottom players have to to toe the line and do what the top guy says… of course they want to turf the outsiders first.
As for Bruce, it was probably one of the dumb decisions done by a player… right there at tribal all saying he has a idol and that he has to play it and he just ignores it… dumb…
He had one, then?
Yep, he went home with it in his pocket… well onto the jury.
he was conned by Emily.
To be honest, even if he had played it, he’d have been out next tribal.
Jake is a number for somebody. If he’s not a number for you, be could be a number for someone trying to vote you out. Dee, Julie, Austen and Drew don’t want people teaming up with Emily and Jake. As a Final 4, they all seem pretty strong. But even if one of them wants to take the others out, top 8 is too soon. It would put them in the minority. Better to clear out some stray voters (Bruce, Jake) first. Emily and Katurah are both hoping they will be the one that Reba turns to when they decide to vote each other.
If the bottom two in that alliance teamed up with Emily and Jake, it would not be too soon, imho. Things rarely work out in Survivor like the boss du jour hopes they will. Just ask Bruce.
We will see. This might just be the time to do it. Austin and Drew certainly feel plenty confident, along with Dee. We have seen that Julie is open to making a play, and Jake is an obvious goat to take to the end.
Can Emily, Jake, Katurah, and Julie make a play? It would require Julie being very subtle to make sure advantages aren’t played. Or has Emily convinced herself that she can win sitting next to two of the Austin/Drew/Julie/Dee crew? Also, between them, Austin and Drew have a ton of weapons to use to deter any shenanigans.
Finally, it looks like we might have a pretty bitter jury. Kendra has shown being pretty emotional, and while Kaleb seems pretty chill, Kellie was obviously very hurt by the way her vote went. Jake has been quite pissed at the way he is being treated, particularly by Drew. And Bruce will vote in whatever way makes Bruce look the best (IMO) - which probably means not voting for the Drew/Austin/Dee core if at all possible.
I realize there is probably some heavy editing, but if I was guessing, I think most people have blinders on when it comes to their chances.
Most assuredly. I tried to like him but he really grated on me toward the end.
I never warmed up to Emily the way some people did. She rubbed me the wrong way even after her “transformation” - maybe because she wouldn’t shut up about it. And I never forgot that she would have been the first player voted out if that stupid girl had been able to go one more day without her cigarettes. So no tears from me on this one.
Also:
-
Austin was an idiot for confiding in Dee. Of course she was going to tell Julie. He let his emotions play the game.
-
I thought Julie would be able to play it cool more than she did, though the result was the same as if she had.
-
Couldn’t believe Austin didn’t play his idol. I was certain we were going to see a second straight idol going home in a pocket.
-
At first I thought Jake should have been the one to tell Julie about Drew and Austin’s plan. He has nothing to lose and sowing a little chaos couldn’t hurt. But it turns out he had no idea that she had an idol. He is truly the most clueless player we’ve seen in a while.
Yep. And now he knows he cant trust Dee.
They were all in such a rush to vote out Bruce, no one asked- Why? He was never going to win. And now there is a a old alliance of four, so they will just pagong the next two out.
Wow, Katurah certainly has a horrifying back story. She was never a favorite but now I’m kinda rooting for her.
