I think I’m just going to go back to vague descriptions - Hippy chick, professor-dude, Rizgod, singing-girl… its easier ![]()
LOL- we do a lot of that when watching. Especially as this season concentrated so much on the loser team.
Yeah, I noticed that. Savannah just pisses me off. I can’t decide if I want her to hang around to hate-watch or if she needs to get the boot asap.
I really liked the challenges again. And good character development, for a change.
- Not sad to see Shannon go.
- Jawan gets more annoying the more I see of him. … and I can’t stop staring at his teeth, wondering if he has gum disease or something.
- Michelle keeps looking more and more like she’s going to be a finalist, if not the winner. She keeps doing very well at any of the challenges, and seems to be doing well socially.
- I think Nate may be saved by the merge next week.
And again, I’m glad they’re acknowledging the weather. When Rizzo was working on the puzzle, it was evident from the sweat running off his hands. How hot does it have to be to get sweaty hands like that!
Yep, very annoying. Next most annoying is Savannah.
Who the heck is Steve? The first time I saw/noticed him was on the last episode.![]()
Standard. At the merge two or three new people usually show up.
They are there all along, but not getting any camera time. The Editors have clear favorites on who they like to show.
I have nothing really against either of them, but I hope one of the Sophi(e)s is gone soon. That Soph vs Sophie distinction just doesn’t work for me.
Soph AKA Blue Sophie really looked like she didn’t want to be called Soph.
Again, I really enjoyed the challenges. All well thought out, and interesting.
- I don’t know if they are just not showing it, or if its no longer a thing, but I didn’t see ANY clips of them looking around benches for hidden clues. Sage didn’t look at her bench, and the losing players didn’t look at the sit-out bench. I remember there being some very nice advantages hidden on those before. AND there weren’t any hidden advantages at the feast! Or did I just miss them.
- Sage continues to annoy me.
- But not as annoying as Kristen’s voice.
- Does Savannah “just happen” to walk into every situation where people are trying to be sneaking in finding an idol? Sheesh.
- I think Rizzo messed up a lot in Tribal. His actions, I believe, will come back to bite him very hard. And yes, I was yelling at the screen for him to play his idol :). I didn’t trust any of those folks.
- Sorry to see Nate go.
I swear, if this snarky-girl-battle keeps going on, I’m going to start fast-forwarding through those scenes. I just can’t take their voices.
They did show someone do it a couple episodes ago. But 99.99% of the time there’s nothing there, so there’s no point in showing it every single time.
ETA: If there was an advantage and the person didn’t look, you know they would show that. They LOVE shots of the players being right next to idols and not finding them.
It makes me wonder if it is easier to look for the camera than for the idol or clue.
Players have talked about that before in interviews. The problem is there’s so many cameras all the time that you start to tune them out. And the camera people are really good at getting the idol shot without being obvious.
To us, Sage is far less annoying than Savannah. But yeah, Rizzo saying how honest and open he was then not doing as he said should count against him.
I’ve been out of town and just watched the last four episodes over the weekend.
For as much as everyone talks about “shaking up the game” and “making big moves,” the Matt and Jason votes were two of the most predictable, safe, and frankly lazy votes ever. The producers keep doing all they can to cross-pollinate the tribes — we’ve had not one but two tribe switches this season — yet players still treat being randomly assigned a color with five other people as some sacred unbreakable bond, whether or not it makes sense for their gameplay.
The Shannon vote, though, was great fun. The small tribe of four was a perfect opportunity for Sage to get rid of a rival and gain two allies, and she played it perfectly without being blinded by original tribal lines. She became my favorite player that episode.
Voting Nate out was safe-ish — I’d have preferred they’d gone after Savannah or Rizo directly — but it’s always fun to watch the people who think they’re running everything suddenly realize they’re not.
It should be fun from here on out.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to have eggs to eat every day, instead of chicken once?
Chickens don’t always lay eggs everyday. I think there was one season where they held off killing the chickens for the few days and only got one egg. At best, it’d be 3 eggs split by 11 people.
If fed and watered well, you can hope for one egg per day.
Well, the competition was boring, but its traditional.
As soon as the competition was announced, I knew Savannah would win - Her lack of body mass and her yoga training made this perfect for her. I liked the Extra Vote she got, as that’s a huge advantage.
I think voting out MC was the way to go. She could win everything if she remained.
Not much more to say, other than I was yelling at Rizzo to play his idol .. and I was wrong again.
