Yep. Now will this be a true merge, or just merge 3 teams into 2? I am thinking 3 into 2.
Rizzo is obnoxious and I am so disappointed in Kamilla for falling for his bullshit. She seemed so much smarter than that. Now we’re going to be stuck with him for a while.
I don’t think she fell for his bullshit at all. I think she figured out which direction would work best for her game.
Same with Dee - she has shown in the past she is very good at manipulating a young male player into doing what she wants and then cutting them loose when necessary.
I think that the foursome of Dee, Kamilla, Cirie, and Rizzo is far better for Dee and Kamilla than Jonathan, Charlie, Dee, and Kamilla (and maybe Rick) would have been. And that’s without considering that Rizzo has an idol and Cirie has an extra vote.
Finally, Rizzo may seem obnoxious to us (and clearly is to a number of players on the island too), but in some ways him being a bit unlikable and loud is a good thing if you are considering keeping him around. Having higher-visibility targets available is what lets quieter players like Kamilla, Dee, and Cirie make it far in the game.
If we are getting a merge of some sort, it’s probably worth a quick look at tribe numbers:
Current tribes: Blue has 7 left, Orange has 6, Purple has 4
Original tribes: Blue has 6, Orange has 6, Purple has 5
So there aren’t really any obvious folks playing without the numbers - there should be plenty of factions to make it interesting.
Another way I like to look at it is “who is left that has been on the wrong side of a vote?”. Those players are Ozzy (the Mike vote) and Jonathan and Rick (the Charlie vote). Every other player has voted for the person eliminated at every TC they have been to.
The caveat there is that 6 players still haven’t been to tribal at all, and another 4 have only been to one.
I really like Rizo. I hated his early eps in the previous season with his “Riz God” or whatever he was saying.
Now, I find him to be pretty cool. Nice guy? I dunno, he doesn’t bother me at all.
He’s doing the same thing this time too. If you constantly refer to yourself in the third person with a whole sentence long catchphrase and call yourself a God, you are automatically an obnoxious idiot. He would be a fine player if he didn’t do all that garbage.
Some speculation on next weeks “Merge” episode from some Survivor sleuths. No specific information at this time but going to put into a spoiler box anyways
There are 17 players left, and the castaways will be split into 3 groups of 5, with two players going to Exile Island. Each group will have the same immunity challenge (like balancing challenge) and the winner of each group will have immunity and each group will go to tribal separately to vote out one of the castaways. Overall winner will win a reward for his/her group. Two castaways going to exile will not going to tribal
sounds plausible.
My WAG is two teams of 8 +1 extra.
On exile island until after TC.
Yes he is. He’s thrown around Rizzgod this season too. Every thing about that is obnoxious but thing that irks me the most is how he refers to himself as a “legend of the game”. He hasn’t done anything to deserve that.
In a TikTok, I was reminded that Colby still does not have a vote, as the penalty from the very first adventure is still in effect.
FYI, tonight’s episode will be interrupted midway by Trump’s address. Adjust accordingly
Anyone know what is happening with Survivor tonight? The on-line guide I usually use has that “Culinary Cup” thing in a three hour block from 8 to 11 in the grid, but the text description calls it a one hour show? And supposedly Trump wants to blather at us about something he considers important tonight, but when and for how long?
Cerie has never won Survivor, although she has played multiple times
She won Traitors once. Here is that and her Survivor records. Her most recent game immediately preceded this one in Australia, where she and Parvati(winner!) represented the USA.
Survivor: Panama (4th)
Survivor: Micronesia (3rd)
Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (17th)
Survivor: Game Changers (6th)
The Traitors 1 (winner)
Australian Survivor: Australia V The World (4th)
Thanks for the heads up…ugh.
I may wait for the stream, then.
So the episode started ‘already in progress’, meaning I missed the first 20-25 minutes. Then the local station re-aired the episode immediately afterwards, but starting at the same place 20-25 minutes in the show. FFS, if you are going to replay the episode, start from the beginning. Morons!
You didn’t miss much.
Two of the tribes got excited about seeing a boat pulling up. The boats took the tribes to the third tribe’s camp, where everyone hugged everyone and they all got new buffs. Pretty sure they dragged that out for at least 20 minutes.
You might have missed the beginning of the hunt for the thing hidden in the woods, but I’m betting you saw the end of it.
Whenever Probst or a player talks about “history-making” or “legacy” there should always be a footnote: “…within the bounds of the tiny and trivial universe of Survivor”
Wow! What a great episode!
- The editing was phenomenal. You could see how each vote and each decision was made, start to finish. I, honestly, didn’t skip hardly anything in this episode.
- I didn’t even think about them moving two people to exile, and making 3 teams of 5. Great strategy, though.
- Christian and Devins need their own show :).
- Didn’t realize Rizo was so tall!
- I thought for sure that when Colby fell, that was it for his ankle.
- Honestly, this was the first time I think I’ve seen Dee and Chrissy.
Loved the whole thing. I can’t wait to see Ozzy and Rizo’s reactions to all the drama. And/Or if there was any Ozzy/Rizo drama on Exile.
So, was there nothing to Exile? No competition, no reward? It appears that it was just a Get Out of TC Free card.
