I’m not bothering with spoiler boxes because there’s no way to participate in this thread without reading who the participants are. According to Survivornews.net:

Okay, I’m glad to see Vecepia not there because she NEVER should have won, but where’s Survivor Thailand winner Brian? He was the best player ever and deserves to be an All Star. What about Michael Scupin (Australia), who never even had a vote cast against him and would have been a strong favorite had he not suffered serious burns that took him out of the game? Or Paschal (Marquesas), victim of the stupidest tie breaker in tribal council history? According to Mark Burnett, none of the ex-Survivors that were asked to return said no, so those who didn’t make it to the All Star edition simply weren’t asked.

I couldn’t care less about seeing Sue Hawk again or boring Amber. Why Shii Ann? It was interesting that she was the first Asian, but she was a lousy competitor who didn’t know how to play the game. Some of the choices are good, like Kathy, who deserved to win Survivor: Marquesas, and Alicia, who was a great competitor in Australia, but I wish they’d brought back Helen and big Ted from Thailand and Elisabeth or Rodger from Australia.

Overall, it’s not a horrible selection, but Burnett dropped the ball, in my opinion.

I like the idea of bringing back Shii Ann. She wasn’t really a bad player, she made a smart move at the right time, but got caught by the semantic games Jeff played with the merge. Had the merge occurred as everyone thought, she’d have been around for at least two or three more councils, and who knows what might have happened in that time?

I don’t feel that anyone who didn’t at least make it to the jury should be brought back, except for Michael, who had to leave due to a medical emergency. I realize that Jeff made it sound like they’d merged already, but Shii Ann moved too fast and should at least have been more discreet.

I also forgot to mention Colby. Bringing that loser back is almost as bad as it would’ve been to bring Osten back. He pissed away a million dollars because he was too spiteful to see Keith Famie win $100K. What a tool. Keith got the last laugh since he’s been hosting his own show on the Food TV network for about two years while Colby is now remembered as the dumbest contestant ever to compete on a reality show. Heck, the headline in newspapers after the finale should’ve read “Everything’s Bigger in Texas–Even the Morons!”

They’re bringing back the woman who was even less deserving of the win than Vecepia?!

They’re allowing the woman who capitalized on her mother’s terminal illness to sucker the jury into a sympathy vote?!
