I can see that. Last night, when they had the eating contest, I said to my partner, “Oh! Caleb’s still on the show!” It’s like he’s a ninja-cub.
Plus he’s paired with Hayden, which is a smart play. If people wanted to break up that pair they would almost certainly go after Hayden first.
Ciera has been more strategically able than Laura from Day One. I almost feel like Ciera should have been the one to go on Laura’s first season…
Spoilers for 11/20 show:
You know what else sucks, Laura? The fact that your big loud mouth not only forced your daughter to vote you out, but forced her to make it obvious and public that she HAD voted you out. You didn’t think that “(Mom)” was for YOU, did you? It was for the rest of the tribe, because you went and dropped that Doublevote Twins bomb right on Ciera’s head. Seriously…that was supposed to be a reason to KEEP you?
Your daughter is Eisenhower, strategically, compared to you, Laura. She’s Eisenhower and Sun Tzu and Von Clausewitz rolled into one compared to you. You’re an idiot.
Tell us how you really feel!!![]()
Did not like this episode at all. Too much like “All My Children”.
Very surprised that Tina did so well with the first part of the RI challenge, Throwing the hooks to retrieve the bags.
Yeah, not sure why he feels like he has to be so polite. ![]()
Huh. I was more surprised at the second part. As someone who is “of a certain age”, I know that the hands aren’t quite as steady as those young-ins!!
As for next week:
I hope they do vote out Tyson. He annoys the hell out of me. But their preview spoiler makes me think probably not.
Well…you have to admit Laura’s a strategic idiot, right? That TC speech was anything but intelligent. She couldn’t have TRIED to stuff more reasons NOT to keep them into that speech. It was a death speech for both of them if Ciera hadn’t acted to separate herself. And that’s still no guarantee…if Ciera ends up going to RI in the next ep or two, it’s going to mostly be Laura’s fault.
Agreed. But think of the upside: Vytas now has two “moms” to gush over him on RI!
Was this the first tribal council where Jeff asked Caleb a question?
I think it’s kinda funny that all the experienced players are saying that the secret to winning is to keep quiet and stay under the radar, and now they find themselves with four new players who have been doing exactly that the entire game…
I don’t remember the whole exchange, but I’m sure Probst had something to ask Caleb when he openly stated in TC that he was voting for Brad.
Wouldn’t Jeff interrogate everyone at Tribal Council?
Post show interviews from contestants say that tribal council can go on for hours. and it is edited down to 5 or 7 minutes.
Tyson wasted his HHI , did he really think he was I trouble?
Apparently.
He had already said he should probably plan on playing it this time, just to be safe.
And now there’ll be another one out there somewhere…
He figured a blindside may be coming and didn’t want to go out with it in his hands. I don’t blame him.
Impressive play all around:
- Tyson finding the idol, and having the fortitude not to play it
- Hayden recognizing that Tyson could have it and might play it so switching the target to Monica
But the most impressive part was Hayden actually turning a vote at tribal council. Nothing ever changes at tribal council; the vote is always exactly what it was going to be when the first walked in. That he was able to flip Ciera was a masterpiece.
R-U-S-T-L-E
Too funny.
It’s too bad they DIDN’T vote Tyson, it would have made for nice irony: last week he played a HI and didn’t get a vote, this week he sat there with a HI in his pocket and got booted.
Some tragic real world news on Tina and Katie. Tina’s son (obviously Katie’s brother) died in a car wrecka couple days ago.
I really dislike Tyson, and so would have loved to see that happen. Now, he’s all but certain to play it at the next TC, if he doesn’t have II.
Sad to hear about Tina’s son.
If Tyson had played the idol, would he have been immune to drawing stones? I assume so.
