Survivor Finale

I think he does get it; he just does not want to admit it. He does not understand that it’s cool to be humble and conciliatory in defeat.

Anybody know what they would have done in the incredibly unlikely event of a 3-3-3 tie? Or even a 4-4-1 tie?

I hope they’d be firebuilding in the auditorium!

Don’t know, but my guess would be total votes against as a tiebreaker.

I wish Russel would have busted Rupert off his holier-than-thou perch and pointed out how quickly Rup jumped to Russels side when he offered him an alliance…like hours after calling him a horrible human being. Rupert is such a friggin hypocrite. Further, I wish he would have had the presence of mind to point that out to all the jury- that they gladly sided with him when they thought it would do them good, that it would get them further in the game, and that he outwitted them.

Now, that reunion was awesome. Seeing Russell at TC before the reunion was good too. Did u see his eyes tearing up a bit, knowing that he lost because he screwed over way too many people?

I don’t know how the next season is gonna beat this one.

Sandra deserved to win because she’s the only one there that actually tried to talk to the Heroes. Parv was strong throughout and didn’t need to form any sort of relationship with the heroes, or it was that “hate” they had for her that she couldn’t approach the heroes.

I’m pretty satisfied with the result and pretty much knew the outcome because I was stupid enough to spoil myself with the info being bandied about in other forums.

I hope Joanie can finally see that Sandra isn’t the nothing that she thought Sandra to be. Sandra was one of the more entertaining contestants and she did a shit ton to get million dollars. She knows how to debate, deflect and spin the negative into a reason why she’s deserving.

he might’ve known from the reaction of the jury at TC. Not sure, but that’s my guess for it.

even if he said they’re all hypocrites, the jury still would have the massive hate for Russell that he wouldn’t have gotten the win. The only way Russell would’ve won is if he didn’t burn all the bridges with the jury. He’ll never understand that he lost because he can’t play the jury, his game is to get to the end, not to win the whole thing. It’s sad, he’s a master manipulator and good for TV but the methods he uses never will get him a win with a jury he so simply dismisses as a bunch of dumbasses and bitches.

Sandra won the game of Survivor. Russell won the game he imagined was Survivor.

That’s why Sandra deserves to win. She played the actual game and not her fantasy version of the game.

The only reason Russell made it so far was because no one expected him to betray so many people. Everyone expects people to think about the end game and to at least keep some of your promises. It’s the only incentive people have to stay somewhat honest in the game, and the only way you can lie to everyone is if you totally ignore that part of the game.

It’s a lot easier to get to the final when you can lie to everyone, which is why I don’t think Russell deserves to win.

I am very surprised that I haven’t seen any evidence that anyone here knows about the spoilers posted at the beginning of this season on other boards.

I didn’t want to say anything on this board because I didn’t want to chance spoiling this season for anyone here. But approximately two weeks after this season started, there were spoilers posted on some other boards that correctly showed who would be booted in exactly what order and even specified who would be the F3 and that Sandra would win.

This was very shocking to me because supposedly only a handful of people are supposed to know who voted for whom in the Final Tribal Council. It is the prevailing knowledge that only 2 or 3 people could have known Sandra would win. And yet someone posted that back on the 2nd week (approx) of the show. I suppose one of the hundred or so crew members could have just guessed Sandra would win. I’m sure approx a hundred people knew the individual boots up until the F3. But for someone to know Sandra would win and to post that … My gosh! That would mean one of the very top producers there was spoiling the season. It’s a real mystery to me.

But most everyone who has posted about Survivor on this board didn’t seem to have any idea of who was going to be voted out and when.

I’d be curious to know if most people who are registered here are extremely well-mannered and don’t want to spoil anything for anyone. Or is it possible that no one here knew there was any spoiler info in the first place?

There is a board rule against spoilers. If anyone posts insider information it would get reported and then deleted by a mod.

I knew. I wasn’t sure the spoilers were correct, but they were.

I’ve known the boot order since around the time JT went out. Some idiot posted it to the comments section in Jeff Probst’s own blog. I’ve been keeping silent because it’s VERY rude to spoil people against their will. I didn’t like that it happened to me so I don’t do it to others.

(And not just here…my partner’s sister (who lives with us) didn’t know and I spent the rest of the season being very careful not to blurt anything out that would let her know who won. My partner also read the spoiler by mistake, so we were both very careful.)

I knew, I just didn’t want to ruin it for others who don’t go lurking for spoilers.

It’s pretty much good manners not to ruin a show for those that aren’t looking to be spoiled on the outcomes. I was surprised that the results were dead on even with the winner. I won’t be actively looking for spoilers anymore either. This season wouldve been a lot better had I not known all that inside spoiler info.

And I saw the spoiler info when I first made a thread about “who’ll be on H vs V Survivor Edition” and someone linked with Television Without Pity forums with the warning of spoilers later on in their thread. They shoulda just listed it without linking it to TVWOP forums!!! oh well, still an awesome season.

I don’t know whether or not you know this, but I made a promise not to debate this topic any more because I just don’t see ever being able to change anyone’s mind or for anyone ever changing my mind.

But, I think there is a real misconception here. I’m not going to get into a lot of details because I think I could be writing for a long, long time.

But, I just want to say that I have no problem with her winning or with anyone here who has posted their opinions about that.

My opinions come from a very specific point of view and I’m sorry if it seems difficult to reconcile our various differing opinions. It just seems impossible to me to reconcile them.

Godsdammit.

Bittercakes again. Idiots.

Ha. Ha. Ha.

Goodbye Russell, you shitty little woman hating troll. You lack grace, taste and class. You got your ass handed to you by two women who clearly hate your guts even more than I do. Go away and never come back again you arrogant, pathetic, whiny, half witted, ugly voiced, dumb swamp hick. The only saving grace in the last two seasons has been seeing just how disappointed you are at the finale.

Hearty congrats to Sandra. Nicely played, dear.

Bittercakes? more like Russell plays his version of Survivor and loses BADLY and then seethes inside because people don’t play the game he imagines Survivor to be.

He needs to learn to play the game the way it’s supposed to be played, not his screw everyone over and hope they’ll see me as some sort of master manipulator that made the whole jury looks like dumbasses and bitches.

enlighten me to your point of view, I stated my case and rebutted your opinion. Give me all the evidence to refute the “nothings” so I can see how you can come up with your very specific point of view. Because without any of the evidence you’re just making broad general statements that have no merit. I’d love to read an essay about Sandra being a nothing, dissect it and give my own essay as to why Sandra is more than what you say she is. And I don’t just watch the regular Survivor Show, I watch the extra scenes, I read plenty of articles from Probst’s blog to realitynewsonline.com to get a better understanding of what’s being shown

But you have to admit, Russell is good for TV. His strategic plays and his lack of social skills coming back to bite him in the ass. I would love to see more Russell type players and less Rupert type players.

Well, looks like my pre-final 5 thoughts were on point… Parv and Sandra, with no chance for the other 3. I thought Parvati had a stronger chance, though. Really surprised she didn’t get Amanda’s vote. Guess people were a bit bitter… I thought she played excellently and never betrayed anyone - all the Heroes knew she was against them from Day 1, she didn’t double-cross them like Russell, Courtney and Jerri were voted out knowing they were against her, Danielle wasn’t her fault. Only one she might’ve betrayed was Coach and even then I don’t remember that they had an alliance (though Coach thought they did).

My prediction after the jury questions (but before votes) was Parv-5 (Colby, Amanda, Jerri, Danielle, Coach), Sandra-3 (Rupert, Candice, Courtney) and Russell-1 (JT).

Love how bitter Russell is. So pissed off. “There’s a flaw in the game!”
