The spoiler is about Mike. That is Tyler’s Ponderosa video (although it’s at least 50% about Shirin) and doesn’t contain anything related to what the spoiler addresses.
Here is the link to the spoiler that really isn’t a spoiler. At least I think that this is what you want to see.
Naw, that’s not what the spoiler says. It says it is on the CBS site and your link doesn’t address Mike’s comments that were mentioned.
I think the spoiler is about Mike being on the list of potential contestants on the next All Star Edition. But no winners of past season are eligible so the natural conclusion is that Mike does not win this season.
However, Probst has said that if Mike (or Carolyn) does win this season and they are voted to play in the All Star edition that the 11th person will get his or her spot.
So is Jeff saying they are in the Finals then? Because every other aspect of the season has already taken place and been edited. Then that’s a spoiler, too. However, I think that’s just a misdirection on Jeff’s part. Why would they even consider Mike if he wasn’t voted off? Also, if he makes (err, made) the Finals, he wins. And it’s not close, IMHO.
Anyhow, here’s the link. It’s membership-protected, so you have to sign up to see.
I wonder if Carolyn plays her HII if Dan didn’t have to announce the extra vote.
IMO, Dan should have been able to make the extra vote at the Voting Box so he didn’t have to verbally announce that he is going to use his advantage. It acted like a red flag to Carolyn to play her HII.
It probably didn’t matter, but you never know.
So whoever doesn’t get immunity next week will be voted out, unless Carolyn/Mike can convince Sierra to vote against Roidney/Will.
I think that is likely to happen. They want to bring along a hopeless no-chancer, and Will has already indicated he won’t go with them. Sierra has shown some willingness to be open to flipping. Although, if she really thinks about it, her only chance at winning is if she goes to the final with Will and Rodney.
Probably not, but maybe.
I suspect this was an intentional part of the design.
I don’t see why Dan playing his extra vote would be a reason for Carolyn to play her HII - if anything, him playing his extra vote shows that he’s worried about going home, which would’ve meant that Carolyn was safe. The group was split 4-2, so Dan playing an extra vote doesn’t make a difference unless one of the four split off. I suppose Carolyn could be thinking Sierra was on their side for a 3-3 vote and Dan’s extra vote would overcome that, but, I think she just sussed it out that they were gunning for her.
Right now I see potential chances of winning a Final Jury vote as: Dan > Carolyn > Sierra > Rodney/Will. A Sierra/Rodney/Will final 3 would be terrible.
She knows Dan is voting for her. Regardless of how comfortable she feels, she knows she has two votes against her at a minimum. If Rodney (who is pissed at her) and Will (who can’t be trusted by anybody and who appears to be very tight with Rodney) vote against her she goes home 4-3.
I’d really like to see Carolyn get it at this point, but unless she wins Immunity, she’s out. I hope Rodney makes it to the end and gets 0 votes.
I would think that anyone is safe, if they can convince 2 other people to join them in the Final 3. So it just comes down to Sierra – does she trust Rodney & Will more than Mike & Carolyn?
Dan putting two votes on Carolyn, when (1) it is in the best interests of everyone else besides Mike to vote her out and (2) when she is the last white collar member left when everyone knows the white collar idol has not been played, is just really poor gameplay.
For Dan, the right play should have been a split vote. If he wanted to split the vote himself, two votes on Sierra would have done the trick, where Carolyn (or Sierra, if Mama C plays the idol) goes home. If he wanted to keep the advantage for next TC, he could have either approached one of Will or Rodney to join him in voting Sierra, resulting in a 2-2-2 split and Carolyn or Sierra going home.
I hope that this TC was interesting enough that the producers bring back the extra vote. Hopefully it falls into the hands of someone smarter than Dan.
Umm, no, only one or two people will be voted out.
She seems to me to have played the best game so far. She need immunity to keep playing though. She and Mike really need to swing Sierra over to their side. If that happens, they vote out Rodney, then Carolyn blindsides Mike and takes Wil and Sierra to the finals, and wins.
I dont think that’s right. Let us say he did do that. Well, you then have two votes for Dan, two for Sierra and three for Carolyn.
The votes for Carolyn dont count. Then you have a tie. Now Mike & Carolyn & Sierra vote for Dan. Dan votes for Sierra. Doesnt make any difference who Will votes for.
Dan still goes home.
Yes, Dan was done in weeks ago when he didn’t realize he was in a low position. The time to make a move is not on your way out the door. Although I think something Dan said last week (or two weeks) ago to Mike is telling. Basically that even if he believed him but had no sway with the others. First that should have been one of the many signs to Dan, but it might also have been a bit of self-awareness on his part. He might have known he was heading to oblivion but was powerless to stop it. We don’t know, maybe he was trying to makes moves every day but being shut out and all of that ended up on the cutting room floor.
I do think Carolyn plays her idol no matter what, although Dan playing his advantage probably made her 110% sure to play it instead of 100% sure.
I would say there is near complete certainty. Everybody clearly wants to be at the end with Will and Rodney. The interesting thing for me is, how will Will and Rodney attempt to sway votes? Rodney has no charisma at all so I can’t imagine he’ll get any votes. What can Will say to get votes? I can easily see this being a 7-0-0 vote. Maybe 6-1-0 if the person who gets up there has a major enemy in the jury.
Actually if Will and Rodney had any self-awareness should have been trying to drag Dan to the end. He’s the only person they could even remotely hope to beat. But they aren’t self-aware and so they will lose to whomever is with them. All of the remaining competitors can beat Will and Rodney in the end.
What would be cool (but won’t happen) is if Mike, Sierra and Carolyn decide to have a best of the best finish and vote off Rodney and Will.
If Will or Rodney win final Immunity, they are basically choosing who to give a million dollars to. Since they would never choose Mike, it’s in the best interest of Sierra and Carolyn to go after each other out at the next tribal council.
