Ireland Is a good strong player but I don’t think he’s got superstar quality just yet. He’s a young lad so there’s time for his game, particularly his tackling, to get better.
On a different note, I’m glad that idiot Barton has been offloaded, sad that Distain has gone and also Weaver, I’ll never forget his penalty save in the play-offs which took us back up.

As an Australian who knows little about soccer, I used to love the press he got from the tabloids (during my infrequent visits). Wasn’t he supposed to be knocking off some well known personality about three years back?

Heh, well I’m from Dublin but I live in Chicago. More of an Irish national team fan so I tend to watch teams solely for the Irish players. That said, I was a big fan of the Quinn/White combo for City in the early '90’s. Whatever happened to White? Thought he was a class player.
