This Sunday is not only Valentine’s Day it is also my niece’s 16th birthday and more important from her point of view the following day she’ll get her drivers license.
I’d like to collect the appropriate songs to celebrate this combination of events.
As to songs, there’s always You’re Sixteen by Ringo Starr.
Baby You Can Drive My Car - The Beatles “Beep beep, beep beep, yeah!” Mercury Blues - Alan Jackson “I’m gonna buy me a Mercury and cruise it up and down the road.” I love that one! Birthday - The Beatles “You say it’s your birthday!” East Bound and Down [From Smokey and the Bandit] - Jerry Reed (heh.) On the Road Again - Willie Nelson Sweet Little Sixteen - Chuck Berry Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen - Neil Sedaka
What kind of music does your niece like? Is she mainly a pop fan or does she like older stuff?
