I like that when you go to a Crafting trainer, the description of the skill tells you what Gathering skills go well with it.
One of the neatest ones I got was on my Imperial Agent toon that wasn’t so much a reward followup as it was Intelligence Command informing me that I was authorized to be on an email chain regarding information on someone who will probably react badly to something I did on a mission. Kinda cool to just get notes like that letting me know I’m going to be dragged into a quest sometime in the future that’s related to an early quest.
Also, something interesting I found as I speed-ran a trooper through the starter areas as the time was coming to a close–I got the Trooper up to Dark Side 1 before I left the starter zone, and I wasn’t able to do that with either of my Imperial toons. Weirdly, of the three toons I went full dark side with, the Sith Inquisitor was the one that felt the least “evil.” Maybe because most of those choices were betraying one Sith over another.
I was trying to get my Inquisitor through the starting area last night but I only made it to level 8. I was doing the climactic quest (competing against the main rival apprentice) but I finally had to go to bed.
I’m going to spend the next two weeks impatiently tapping my foot.

Shiny! Did you have to purchase it in-game or is it one that came with your pre-order? How much do they cost at level 25? Are there different colors/models available?
I think it’s 40k for the skill and 8k for the speeder?
That is an in-game purchase. At 25, it was the only ‘bike’ I noticed, but the little icony things were hard to discern and I couldn’t preview. You can get it in any color you want as long as it’s green.
Pre-launch guilds are locked (Star Wars: The Old Republic | News Articles).
So I think that means no changes / new members until launch.

As a RP’er I’m not sure I like my twillic Jedi having the same last name as my sith agent,wil have to see how it works out…
What’s a “legacy point”? I’ve seen “legacy” mentioned and I don’t know what it means in the context of the game.
I kind of like the idea - in Wow I’ve named many of my alts very similarly (my three top toons are Kene/Keyne/Kheen), so a legacy name mechanic will make that easier to do.

The gf and I are eagerly awaiting our early access emails. Any word yet on where the Doper guild will be? We totally failed to sign up for it before it got frozen for release deployment.
Haven’t heard as to which server we’ll be on yet, but I did get an email this week reminding me to download the game and that early access would begin as early as the 13th, based on when you confirmed your pre-regsitration code. So I imagine they would have to give us the guild server information before Tuesday at the latest. SWTOR.com is down for maintenance at the moment so I’m not able to check announcements.
So… Is anyone else as pathetic as me, and been constantly checking their email (and spam folder just in case) on the futile hope they might decide to move the early start up a couple more days on a whim?

Add in a lot of moping and whining about being bored. Bad news is, we preordered kinda late, and probably won’t get in until the weekend.
Yeah, I’ve been avoiding the game a fair amount because in the past I have over-amped before games are out and been a bit disappointed when the game does come out. I preordered the game months ago, but I didn’t know to register my code until early November, so I don’t know where I am in the order, but I doubt I’m near the front.
